This thing is still going?

Remember when PT Cruisers first came out? Some people paid 10k over sticker, to be the first to own one!!!

Just another piece-O-####### from chrysler.

Although I used to buy American to be patriotic, I now buy Japanese for durability. Acura rocks!!!

I concur! I bought a used Acura Integra with 160,000 miles and it lasted me another 70,000 before I traded it in.

I want to find another used one. :star:

Why would you ever buy a car with 160,000 miles on the odometer?

Looking for problems?

I think I paid 2g's for it and I owned it for 3 years so I think I did pretty well.

Financial advisors state that a car is a divestment - it loses value as soon as you drive it off the lot. So financially speaking, why would you ever buy a brand new car and pay top dollar for it unless money is not a concern?

I used to work with a girl who would buy cars for 200 or 300 dollars and use them for the two or three months that they would last. Then she would just abandon them on the side of the road and get another one. She had about six cars around town when I met her.

All I wanted to do was talk about my hatred for PT Losers. I'll continue to do so while you guys talk about American versus foreign cars and such.

So anyways I just hate those cars so much. They look so stupid. There's also another one that's kind of like the PT Loser and I think it's newer. I really hate that new one too.

In keeping with the actual topic, I'd just like to add that I really hate PT Losers with custom paint jobs....like flames on the sides. Pathetic. :P

Perhaps not in keeping with the current "stream" of this thread, but the car that annoys me most is the Mazda Miata. That's the most ridiculous car EVER!

And thanks for letting me get that off MY chest

haha when someone said that they saw a PT Loser with a rainbow sticker on it I thought of the Miata right away. How gay are those cars? Especially if it's white and a man is driving it.

Me too and I found it in a bottle for $2.49 at Target. I douse my used car with it and it smells just like a new one! :P

STEVEN, I can't believe you are even driving a car! That's outrageous. Don't you know that the emissions from your used vehicle contribute to GLOBAL WARMING? Ralph Nader would be ashamed of you for wasting all that money on a car!

What kind of a greenie are you?

You better still be bringing your own burlap shopping bags to the grocery store or I'm going to report you to Oregon Hairy Armpit Patrol!

I can't get by living in So. Cal. without a car, especially with children, but I appreciate the advice. ;) There's a big difference between driving a gaz guzzling, oversize SUV and driving a 4 banger. If we all were driving smaller engined cars, that would be an enormous reduction of emissions - there's plenty of reasonable ways of reducing our emissions, not to mention reducing our consumption of foreign oil. Unfortunately, people look at cars as an extension of themselves beyond a means of transportation, so we continue to fight wars to support our incessant consumption of oil.

How about an imported Indian (TDI 4-banger) SUV?
