Wow that article is so full of lies. The website says they are on March 20 at the latest, that's almost 12 months, and the official stats put it at between 8.7-and 8.9 months. There are still people from March and April of last year waiting. And not only that, but this is not "recent." The first slowdown hit the K-1 visas back in 2012. The USCIS knew by 2013 that this was not going to be a temporary slowdown. When the howls of the K-1 people got too loud, they just threw the burden onto the CR-1's. These people and their lies.

This quote "even if DACA caused the visa delay, USCIS' operations are not funded by taxpayers and Obama would not have directly ordered them to focus on illegal immigrants over American families." made me snort!!

I'm really interested to know what these "hiring difficulties" were. Maybe they're not aware you have POST job openings in order to hire people!

So, is this how government scandals start? The response by "sources close to immigration and immigration reform" in this article is such BS.

Yup. Seems there are finger pointing and a TON of denials and lies. I am getting so frustrated with this. Immigration for illegals, blah blah, i-130's don't have to wait, blah blah,no accountibilty, blah blah, Obama laxes the rules for those with terrorism trying to get in but we have to suffer.

I get frustrated because all of these articles mislead the reader as to the total time it takes to get one's spouse, child or parent here. All they talk about is the time it takes at USCIS. NVC is taking 20 working days to even get a number into the system. My NOA2 was 11 days ago, and it still hasn't even REACHED NVC from TSC. So it's going to be at least two months for me at NVC, and we have EVERYTHING ready for the AOS and the DS-260.

I'm a late June 2013 filer, and at this point, it's going to be a full year before my spouse can be here, and she is from a VERY low risk country.

If a case number starts with the letters on this list, then it is possible: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/how-to-submit-documents-to-the-nvc.html#GroupA

Chile, China and Canada (Google is your friend).

Chile is not on the list in the link above, EP is not possible there.
