Guys, its awesome news that we made it to New York Times. However in order to make this effort a success and garner maximum attention from all ends, this is the best time to step up the pressure.... Now that we have got the necessary media attention, we need to send out our new letter earliest by next week, before the heat of the situation dies out...

We need to make sure that our letter covers all points that has been left out in the New York Times publication.... I mean the number fudging by USCIS, adjudication of petitions out of chronological order, un necessary RFE's to buy time, blatant lies and arrogant dont care attitude replies to our enquiries etc etc.... All theses needs to go into the letter... Basically the content in our letter should focus on adding 'fuel to the fire' that has been created by this New York Times publication.

So lets focus on getting this letter going by next week itself guys... 'We need to make hay while the sun shines'

And to whom may I ask will this letter be sent to ?

I would strongly recommend that each and every one of us who has a petition in process contact their congressmen/women, senators, and that sorry excuse for a president...include the article from the NY Times...if you're as furious as I am over this...express it under no uncertain terms. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! Finally, the TRUTH is out!!

Please also respond to the writer of the article with your thanks and your stories. Click on her byline (her name, which is Julia Preston), and you will be taken to a page where you can write to her through the NYTimes.

Here is my letter.

Dear Ms. Preston,

Many thanks for your article about those of us who are separated from our loved ones due to the backlog of I-130 applications. I married in March 2013, and have been in that hellhole of silence known as USCIS since then. I was not with my spouse when she suffered a stroke last June. We will not be together on our first anniversary. We live on email and phone cards.

As a group of petitioners and beneficiaries we have contacted our Senators and Representatives to no avail. We groan, as a group, when one of the processing centers, or the National Visa Center, has a snow day.

We have started petitions, we have written to newspapers. And you have finally become our voice.

Thank you.

Sukie Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Great idea! I'll write her too. I'm having trouble locating her contact. I'm using my phone browser. Do you by any chance have her email handy? Thank you

Thisi is not the first time Obama did this. Remember the debacle 3 years ago with the huge flood of TPS applications form Hatians that caused our I-129(f) approvals to take 7 to 8 months?

USCIS priorities are fine as long as adequate resources are left to handle the non priorities. But ordinary citizens waiting for ordinary petitions for their families do not seem to matter to USCIS. Why is that?

Meaningful immigration reform must inlcude an expedioent way for those who want to enter the country legally, obey our laws, work hard, pay their taxes and learn English to do so. As long as sneaknig acorss the border into Neew Mexico or Arozona is easier, that is what they will continue to do.
