Medical Examination..which vaccinations?

First of all go to a doctor a show him ur records and he ll tell u what is missing.

The flu shot are for aaaall ages. If u are about to leave the country october to march u will do it u want it or not.

Mmr u probably had it as a kid!! All kids have it!! It's important. I think u re confused with bcg that is the moooooost important and u better dont play with it. Go to a doctor check what vaccinations are missing and do them EXCEPT MANTOUX.

Bcg and mantoux go together. And if u had bcg and then mantoux the second mantoux will be not negative and show that u probably are sick (but will be wrong) . So let the embassy doctor take care of bcg and mantoux and just take care for the other vaccinations.

I called the embassy doctor and told me that. So thats what i did. I just went to another doctor he checked my records i had all my vaccinations... I just had to do the dpt that i had to do the adult type and thats it!!

DONT DO MANTOUX!!!!! LET THE EMBASSY DOCTOR DO IT!!!!

OMG guys..I have a big problem!!!I was so convinced I had done MMR..I was wrong!!!! I explain:

When I was about 1 year my doctor gave me the MMR vaccination (I have a certificate).

To approximately 6 years, I had the measles, a form of measles really strong. (My mom told me)

Now I was looking for the vaccines I had, and I find the certificate saying that I had the MMR vaccine...but how is this possible? I did this vaccination..Why I got the disease?

So..I looked on the internet here the name of the vaccine that was done to me..and I made a shocking discovery!!!!!

After 5 years that I've done..was withdrawn because they say the vaccine was ineffective and dangerous!!!

OMG...so..now I don't really know...maybe is better to wait to go to the doctor's consulate?

PLEASEEEEE give me some advice!!!! Thank you!

There's nothing to worry about! this is something u can control u are not sick.

So listen to me. Once u go to the doctor and see the record he ll tell u if u need more vaccinations or not.

BUT! Even if he tell u to do the mantoux or bcg u wont do it, bcg is the vaccination of tuberculosis.

When u are a baby u do a vaccine that called bcg and makes ur body strong so u dont catch the tuberculosis "virus" let's say. After few years they do another shot that called mantoux. They do that on ur hand and this thing gets red and big ... If it gets really red and big more than 5cm then is suspicious that u maybe have the virus or tuberculosis. Then u do an x ray and they see if ur lugs ar clean. If they cant find anything wrong on ur lugs then u ar ok and the mantoux s result was wrong. Mantoux come red and big(possitive) if u had the bcg vaccine as a child.

Me i had bcg and after years mantoux for second time and of course the result came possitive. So the stupid doctors did the X-ray to me was clean but they still gave me therapy for 6 months or a year. FOR NO REASON.

I called embassy doctor and he told me not to do anything. I went to the hospital to find my file and they were hitting they head on the wall cause they gave to a kid 8 years old therapy for tuberculosis AND I WAS HEALTHY!!!

So... Just watch out with this vaccine is serius. Can cause deny from embassy doctor. Just let him take care of it.

Tell them about your visum and maybe even print out the table of required vaccinations, that way they know exactly what you need and can compare it with the things you have. Most likely he/she will advise you to get a MMR shot.

Of course tuberculosis is reason for deny, but either you have it or you don't and they will determine that during the medical exam with an x-ray. The tb skin test is only ordered if the x-ray does not come out clean.

I know that the test is called mantoux... But the test is normally not performed, since it would require the patient to come back the next day in order to see the results from the skin test.

Ok, then 48-72 hours, the point is that the patient would have to come back a second time. This is the reason why they do the x-ray first and only proceed with the test if the x-ray shows signs of tb.

The website you posted is for AOS, this is not about adjustment of status. The poster is still in his home county.

It was checked for Tb at my medical by having a chest x-ray done, which is the normal procedure. The x-ray was clean --> no further action required.

Oh and by the way, I haven't been rude to you in any shape or form...so calm your horses!

Personally I would advise to get vaccinations done at your regular doctor, this will safe A LOT of money. You can always call the panel physician in your county and asked about the requirements if you don't trust the online information.

This is what people do if they are not sure if they had the MMR vaccine as a child or not. The blood test can give an indication if you had the vaccine or the disease itself. The same with varicella (chicken pox).
