You will need:

Tdap

MMR

Varicella (if you didn't have chickenpox as a child)

Influenza

You can also find the chart for required vaccinations here: http://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/panel/vaccination-panel-technical-instructions.html#tbl1 (all the way at the bottom of the page)

Here in Germany influenza is not required for people of this age. I recently called the panel physician and I was told this.

I just had my medical a couple of days ago in Frankfurt and it was a requirement. I called beforehand and asked and this is the information I got on the phone, as well as from the doctor on the day of the medical. (I am 21, so it's the same age group.)

Maybe it depends on the visa.

Several of the vaccines are not needed if you were vaccinated as a child, you would need to prove that with vaccination records. Yes, the last thing one usually keeps around; but if you can get a copy if would help; otherwise, a new vaccine will be needed.

The link provided in a prior post gets you to the details.

Tdap is tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (it is usually given in a single shot).

You can get the missing shots really any time now. Tdap for example is good for 10 years, before you need another booster. ;)

Oh, that's really strange. I had called the Frankfurt panel physician last November and I was told the flu vaccine is not required for this age group. Really strange. But good to know. I will call again and ask because our medical will be most likely around the beginning of March (which is at the end of the flu season anyway).

That is weird!

Definitely call again and make sure, or just get the shot anyways, just in case. (It shouldn't cost you anything.)

You normally get the MMR vaccination as a child and then you are immune for life ;)

Influenza you need to get during the flu season (October-March) prior to the medical/interview, so if you haven't gotten the shot sometime within the past 4-5 months you will still need to get it for this flu season.

Normally they take your word for it, if you tell them that you have had chicken pox, otherwise they can find out by doing a blood test. ;)

If you have had two doses of MMR then you are good. ;)

I am not 100% how this works for your typ of visa. Are you going to have a medical exam done in your home country before the interview?

If yes, than they will do the test for chicken pox at the medical exam, it shouldn't create any extra costs for you!

First of all go to a doctor a show him ur records and he ll tell u what is missing.

The flu shot are for aaaall ages. If u are about to leave the country october to march u will do it u want it or not.

Mmr u probably had it as a kid!! All kids have it!! It's important. I think u re confused with bcg that is the moooooost important and u better dont play with it. Go to a doctor check what vaccinations are missing and do them EXCEPT MANTOUX.

Bcg and mantoux go together. And if u had bcg and then mantoux the second mantoux will be not negative and show that u probably are sick (but will be wrong) . So let the embassy doctor take care of bcg and mantoux and just take care for the other vaccinations.

I called the embassy doctor and told me that. So thats what i did. I just went to another doctor he checked my records i had all my vaccinations... I just had to do the dpt that i had to do the adult type and thats it!!

DONT DO MANTOUX!!!!! LET THE EMBASSY DOCTOR DO IT!!!

Yes, the day before the interview I have to do the medical examination here in my country..I hope it is as you say..I read that to do all the vaccinations on site is much more expensive because it is a private clinic..thank you again!!!
