hey y'all-- since i'm in the beginning stages of all of this, i'm trying to document everything well from the start. right now i've been using a phone card i put money on online, because it has the best rates i have found.. but all it offers is a history of payment, like when i put money on the card, not of itemized calls... do you think this is a problem? just wondering what phone services/phone cards/etc you all have used to keep in contact with your love ones and have proof....

thanks, and happy new year : )

I think having records of calls to your love one is extremely helpful for proof of the relationship. I use vonage, which has good international rates and also records of calls. Other users have used phone cards that keep records. I would pay extra for the itemized calls. Just my advice.

I use phone cards as well as text message which is wonderful because I have pages and pages of text messages showing the number I text to.

http://www.viatalk.com/

they have a great deal for voip, buy 1 year get one free!. I had vonage, dumped for this viatalk last year. They are based in New York state. no problems at all and no sneaky start up charge.

for calling my wife in China by a landline, voip line or cell phone to her cell or home landline I use:

Depending on which embassy you are dealing with, itemized phone records showing

the number you are calling and minutes can be vital proof.

Check out these rates for your country, all have itemized records.
