As you probably know, I sent my package on 12/19/06 to Vermont with a check for $275.00

I was expecting it back, given other's experience, but they cashed it on 12/29/06.

I don't have the NOA yet, though.

I'm happy for you that they took it and did not cause you any delay, but I sure don't get it.

Bob

Thanks. I don't get it either... I was actually expecting my package back.

As you have probably already read in my other post, I sent mine in on the exact same day 12/19. It was received on 12/20, and sent back on 12/21 with a rejection notice stating that they wanted $205, and not the $275 that I sent.

Unbelievable!

Interesting, this is the VSC, lets see what the NSC does. I should know one way or another next week. For all those unsure, I would still suggest writting two seperate checks.

Marilyn and Peter.

K-1 Timeline in Profile (our story)

Biometrics completed Nov 5 2004

EAD Approval Dec 29 2004

Spend another $40 for I-693 form, sent to local USCIS office registered mail, arrived March 11 2005

AOS finally approved March 25th 2005

Green card arrives about 10 days later

!!Green card has incorrect middle name!! Thanks USCIS

Travel back to Denver, turn in card and I-90 to correct their mistake.

Application accepted, asked for I-551 stamp, they told me "We don't do stamps anymore"

NSC appears to have stoped processing I-90's

Wow this is AMAZING. How one can be accepted and one rejected.. Its quite scary.

I paid with a USPS Money Order on 12/22. I believe mine was accepted, based on the fact that I have not received a rejection notice yet, and probably would have by now. I am going to run a trace on the money order Wednesday to see if it was cashed. Seems like I am good though, and based on other VSC times, should see something mid January.

Timeline I-751 (Removal of conditions):

12/21/2006 - Sent to Vermont Service Center UPS Early AM Overnight

12/22/2006 - Reached Vermont Service Center

12/26/2006 - USPS Money Order cashed ($275.00)

01/04/2006 - Individual Fee Register Receipt Received

02/05/2007 - NOA Received

02/05/2007 - Biometrics Appointment Received

02/15/2007 - Biometrics Appointment

03/14/2007 - Finally made it in to do biometrics. No problems going in a month late

06/20/2007 - Received an Email stating that her card was "Ordered for production"... WE'RE APPROVED

06/25/2007 - 10 Year Green Card Arrived!!!!!

It certainly IS confusing!

Even more so for me - add the fact that my I-751 was received on Dec. 7th by VSC and they haven't cashed my check yet?!
