Interview Cancelled!

Hi,

Our interview was supposed to be on the end of the month, the 19th of February. I got an email saying that our interview has been cancelled, and my online profile says it has been cancelled too.

I am not sure what to do. I dont have EAD or AP and this could put us in a financial crisis. I tried sending them requests of EAD and AP but they never responded to them.

So now I cant work and my interview is delayed.

What should I do? should i just show up to our original appointment? Or try to apply for EAD and AP again??

it was in Atlanta, may be it is because it was the snow storm? does this have an implication on our case? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why didn't you apply for EAD and AP originally?

Without your timeline filled in it's really impossible to help.

You can wait for your interview to be rescheduled.

I did. it was on hold till we got a joint sponsor. then never heard of it again. we applied last August 2013. Then had 2 RFEs. Then got accepted for interviewing and scheduling January the 20th, interview mail was the 19th of February, which was cancelled (((((((((((

Should i re-apply for work permit?? I called and forgot to ask about that and they were like , we already sent in your inquiry , which you would have asked about the work permit before we sent in the inquiry.

Your EAD should still be active, and should have been approved already. Though, any time waiting to return RFEs don't count, so if you waited a long time to return all your RFEs, you could have added on months of waiting. What is the status of your EAD online?

You could try to go to your original interview, but you'd probably be turned away. Best to wait for a new interview date.

Well they never replied back. They only replied with an interview date. I dont know why.

Should i just mail in a request for it again? They never sent me a reciet for EAD.

No. Do not add extra applications for no reason. Call and ask about the status of your EAD; get your case number.

Your EAD has nothing to do with your interview. It is completely independent.

ok. will do. But the customer representative said that I would have too wait for 30 more days for any more inquiries?

Would it hurt it just mail them in again?

Yes! It will hurt to send in another one. I have said three times now NOT to do that.

Do Not make an inquiry, get "case status" on your current EAD and get the case number so you can check online.

Also if you have your receipt number for another one of the forms like it sounds like you have the receipt number for the I485 then try inputting numbers on USCIS's site for the numbers before & after that one, then continue that until you get all your forms inputted so if your receipt number for your I485 is MSC99999998 then try MSC99999997 & MSC99999999 and so on.
