I'd like to know what contributes to the high crime rate there even though they have very liberal CC and gun laws. Is it the minorities?

Mostly white people that hate Mexicans, legal, or otherwise, poor Native Americans living at subsistence levels, and lots of retirees that go there to winter in their RV's. California built a wall along their border with Mexico, and most of California's problems moved eastward into a state that does not have near the resources California does.

I see that Arizona has a large Hispanic/Latino population and I was trying to compare minorities there to Alaska to see what if any effect it has on the crime rate. Vermont has very few minorities and Utah has a bit more than they do but is still almost 92% white. Vermont and Utah have low crime rates. Alaska has less minorities than Arizona but has an even higher crime rate. All four states have liberal CC laws. Something is responsible for the different crime rates and it's not guns.

Both but the money is in the drugs. Illegals pay a lot also. It is like a military zone there now.It is bad right now. Internal security check points. Drones day and night. Anyway the statistics will be skewed from what is the reality going on there right now.

The crime rate decrease seen in Illinois in 2013 could not possibly be related to CC permits as none were issued in Illinois that year or allowed from other states.

Me too, I'm sure there IS a reason for the drop. Well something other than CC permits, because WE KNOW those weren't allowed.
