We should've known each other sooner, si man, and Mrs. T-B. could have directed you to people in Cuenca, si man.

We knew people, too, they just weren't up to par. The last two I'm sure were just crooks, because they had studied abroad, so they had to know what the hell was up. Regardless, Cuenca is 10+ hours away from our house, so I doubt we'd have gone that far just for a doctor appt. It all turned out okay in the end. :) he'll get fixed here, at least.

hallo thread !

So...Saturday movie morning (we go at 10:40 since its cheap)....was a good movie. We both enjoyed it. Then I made him his heart shaped pizza and the small child from his bro came over to spend the weekend (she is adorable and well behaved). It was a good weekend. I played with her while grandma slept, we made peanut butter cookies and I made her breakfast and snack and we played with Sonic...and dogs and all that.

The only damper on things...when she got here she was next door asking if she could actually stay whole weekend and grandma goes: "Well, I don't know cause "Jada" and hubs hate kids so I don't think so" (really...) and so the kid asks whether she minds we hate kids and she says "well I don't care they like me". Now...she is a child she takes things like that as the truth...she does not understand subtle sarcasm or "jokes" like that. IMO. Oh and when I made her peanut butter and jelly (homemade from my mom)..grandma goes up to her and says " is it disgusting ?" And so the kid looks at her weird and says "no its yum, I like it" and ate the whole damn thing and asked for seconds. HA !

Still enjoyed the weekend with the kid. We decided to bake some more next time she comes...it will be strawberry and banana cake.

I dont understand where she got the idea that I hated kids or that I did not know how to take care of them but she sure is sticking to it no matter what.

Good weekend, waiting on The Walking Dead.

Oh and i got a letter from Paltz Uni ..got excited for a sec and it was only the whole equality q. thing....don't know what you call it. I am tempted to say I am male/female/undecided, veteran, disabled and black/latino .

ps: she probably does not mean to say these things. I guess she "jokes" like hubby does. He had to learn it from somewhere.

ps2: the coconut oil I bought....uh...came in broken glass and is old I think...all yellow and dry. UH !

If you drive 10 hrs in any direction in Ecuador, don't you end up in a 4th or 5th world country?
