Where's Jinxy Squatch?

I hope she's not in this mess. It's right by her.

No, thankfully, wasn't there. :) The turnpike is a good hour from where I am. We're a bit farther west, in York county. Which got completely pummeled with snow, might I add. It's snowing again right now.

Do they still declare winter over and stop plowing the roads when they reach their budget limit there?

Years ago I remember driving through 6 inches of snow trying to get to the airport in Pittsburgh so I could go home. Not a plow in sight anywhere, which I learned was because they had spent the years snow clearing budget already.

Pretty much. The roads were awful yesterday, and then it got warm and started melting, and then everything flooded. PA sucks, I hate it here.

Sorry man, my body decided to give me my period and insane cramps today (4 ibuprofen and 2 tylenol are barely making a dent). Also, got a killer pulled muscle in my neck. :dead::dead::dead:

If I don't immediately assault the first sign of cramps with crazy amounts of aleve, I'll be rendered immobile. Thanks to my birth control it's easy to know when I'll need to be prepared, so that rarely happens. :) It took a couple of painful experiences before I learned that, though.

how's gump's kid doing? surprised you haven't had any horror stories to share in a while.

I'm still in "observation" mode. And so is he.....He's watching to see how far he can take things, and what he can get away with.

I can see that on a couple of occasions, his face was snarly, like on the brink of losing his mind. Yet his parents do not notice this. They're typical dum parents whose kid can do no wrong?

Yesterday I went with them to get a mattress, the kid was jumping on the other mattresses in the store. And no one stops him. Again, I observe. And so far, I can see that this kid will know that he can push things, and he will lose it soon. And that Gump and wife have very poor parenting skills. They can't even identify a problem. They also fail to instruct on the simplest of life lessons. I have yet to hear this kid say "Please, good morning, thank you, sorry" in any language. He just kinda barks out demands. Walking past a fruit store yesterday, he demands "I want grapes" in a strident kinda tone. And grapes were promptly bought for him. Later, my daughter shares her Valentines day chocolate with the kid. Again, there was not a "thank you", and no parent tells him to say thank you.

I compare... I know they're different sexes. But I can imagine if my daughter was a boy. He still wouldn't be close to the way this kid is. My daughter is 1.5 years his junior, and she catches herself doing or saying something wrong, and will correct herself. So, I'll continue to observe and see how gump and wife continues to pamper this child without any lessons and conditioning.

They were sposed to move today. Snow put an end to it.

BTW, you think that if the movers are going thru the driveway, Gump would have enough brains to shovel the driveway?

He has a benign tumor in his ear canal that's preventing an old infection from healing, and causing a weird drainage at times. They have to go in and cut it out. It's an outpatient surgery, though, so no big deal. We were just waiting for his new insurance to come through.

Because in Ecuador they would rather lie to him, and tell him it's something else so the problem never goes away and he has to keep coming back and spending money. :) We went to four ENTs in Ecuador over the course of four years and none of them ever mentioned the fact that he had a tumor, or might need surgery. He's had the problem since 2009, and has gone deaf in the ear as a result. Edited by oohpartiv

Interesting he not shovel the domicile first , then the sidewalk, then the street/car areas.

Interesting in a 'what a dumb ####' sort of way.

And this isn't the first winter he's lived with you, so I know it's not due to lack of experience.
