  • Describe ways in which you have actively engaged and demonstrated a commitment to promoting the success of diverse students or employees. (Maximum of two pages.)

that is the topic.

I just never think about diversity consciously when I work or with students. Everyone is a human being to me and they get treated equally, I do have a couple of ideas but yah.

OMG at people whining for almost no processing time on K1s. ranting33va.gifranting33va.gif

dead.gifdead.gif OMG, I just read a new thread about someone seriously contemplating suicide when waiting at 5 month mark since NOA1 and more than 7 months into marriage.

Maybe there should have a "Dear Abby" column on VJ to help these people.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

We start with.....

I don't want to make too much light of it because I do remember being seriously depressed and having an anxiety overload last year in Denmark, but that wasn't because we were separated. I thought the separation was nothing in the grand scheme of our marriage, but I know for other couples who haven't dealt with the same things in a new marriage it can seem daunting.

I think this fast processing of K1s is messing with people's minds and giving them entitlement complexes.

That and I still don't get why they are going faster than CR/IR1s.

Jada whenever I had to write about something, I always related the subject to another subject that I'm familiar with. Like if I had to write about finance, I'd relate it to the mafia. Such as the SEC as the Godfather.

Business to football. Such as a business plan is a play in motion. Etc....

How to advise these people? I'm not sure what to say without sounding offensive dry.png

(you already have your visa approved in xx months, done with the process.. so you won't understand how I feel now..etc)

I know how you feel. I do....

For years I didn't care much for Tiffs green card. The second we got married, I was much more anxious than her...

This is where I'm the expert :)

Questions! You advise by getting them to answer questions!

What is their gripe? Ask a few questions, then finish like this....

"We'll, if this and that were to happen, and this and that is done, would that be OK with you?"

The above quote is a more powerful statement than you imagine. It's a cover-all for a lot of things.
