He hasn't done that in awhile.

Seriously this weather needs to go away so these two little #### can go outside and ####### about.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

And how can one live and stinkapore and not be open minded?

i have wondered this myself. she majored in sociology and literature in uni and taught english lit for 20 years before retiring. when i was a kid, she was dynamic, energetic, full of ideas, and always open to new things. she liked art, broadway, took an interest in politics. these days, it seems her worldview is so much more limited. if she hasn't heard of it before, it is automatically viewed with suspicion instead of wonder. everything is painted with the "us" vs "them" brush. part of it is probably my dad feeding her with his endless conspiracy theories. ah, i could go on. we (my siblings and i) have tried to get her to take an interest in things again, but she is too tired/scared to try. it makes me really, really sad.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

the wrong stuff, in her eyes, at least: race, religion, education, wealth, geographical location, nationality, tattoos

Well if he's got tattoos, then I understand her.

So you were supposed to marry a wealthy Singaporean and bring honor and wealth to the family?

Well if he picks his nose frequently, I might be slightly concerned too.

But boo, you should just tell her the truth. It's YOUR life, YOUR decision to make, and YOUR responsibility to deal with outcome, whether good or bad.

That is really sad, and I can really relate. My mother was a lively, spontaneous and intelligent woman with a passion for learning a life. She was abused by my father so long, she fell into mental illness and never really came out of it. I grieved for a long time over the death of the person she had been. I often felt anger that she could never snap out of it and be who she once was. I never did totally get over that, until the day she died.

That explains a little. The Muslim part, not Jonas. But still, being in Singapore and teaching English lit throws me off....she wouldn't strike me as the traditional type.

Has she straight forwardly told you how she feels about Jonas?

Maybe she expects this already? Maybe she really does like him?

Got devote in her later years? No one leaves Islam, no one marries outside Islam, no one goes to live with the great Satanists.

Even if they disapprove of your partner, I think they will be more upset long run if you don't tell them about your impending nuptials and/or invite them*? Is it hard for them to get a tourist visa?*

*Totally from experience here, my mother HATED my first husband, but I am still hearing about how she wasn't invited or told about the wedding, despite there not even being one.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.
