How can she be upset with you for the other woman flirting? Obviously you can't control that.

See, I am kind of happy that my husband has no idea what flirting is, really. It is probably the reason he didn't really date in Denmark, but I totally had to be plainly obvious about what I wanted with him. I had to just come out and say "hey I am coming to visit you in Denmark because I want to see if my feelings are real" and I had to be really forward when I was there. Subtly is not a strong suit of the Danes.

I never did manage to figure out how she could be upset for someone trying to flirt with me. But Filipinos have a different definition of what flirting is, apparently I flirted too by ordering a drink as she flirted with me, but I'm much like the Dane and really never flirt. When I wanted a woman, I saw no need to flirt and just went for it. Why dance around the bush when what you want is the bush, was always my thinking.

I never did manage to figure out how she could be upset for someone trying to flirt with me. Anyway, a few things then seeing as there are a few replies.

I can name 2 people who blame things on K1s (and consequently want the visa abolished). Do I get double points for naming 2 in one category?

On cultural differences: Amy doesn't seem to have an issue with my British "stuff", if you want to call it that. But I have a different thing I'm adjusting to with Amy, and it's not cultural stuff. It's odd but I tend to assimilate into other cultures lightning-quick. For example, stayed with a German family for 10 days. Spoke German much better (and as a result I was top of the class for my German exams when I was 16). But, as I say.. the cultural differences this time around aren't something that's an issue so far.

And a rant: Getting tired of the UK forum now.. I know I said I'd stick around and help Nich out.. but with the recent class of worriers, hijackers and gravediggers.. I'm losing hope.

I should rephrase. I know 2 people who blame it and want the visa abolished and basically infest the Effects on Family forum with their diatribe on "This is why the K1 should be abolished". Others do blame it.. just aren't as virulent, or that's my opinion.

They don't actually delete threads (same with posts). There are two other options:

1) It can be moved to a "naughty" archive (thread only)

2) It can be "Unapproved". This is a mod option which basically makes it so only Mods and above can see the content (thread and posts).
