A quick inventory of my garage tools reveals that every last one of my Sears Craftsman screwdrivers are also gone. (I have about 30 of them, some are upstairs, some are in the back shed). Leaving behind the cheap 1 dollar screwdrivers. And every pair of pliers in the garage are also gone. 1 ratchet set, 1 open end combination wrench set, a hammer or 2....####### is Gump doing? building a house? Or is he stockpiling his inventory from "Steve's home improvement center"?

1 suitcase found its way back to my residence and is in the basement...

but you got a suitcase back wooohooo innocent.gif

I'm thinking of getting a maid again.

In response to my acerbic and oh-so-accurate observations about what used to be the kitchen sink, Mrs. T-B. again stated that she needed a maid. I responded that, one night when she was out, I tried to interview one, but she took one look and deported herself back to Central America. This gives new truth to Mrs. T-B.'s claim (regarding lax housekeeping) that "the maid has left," si man.

why are you showing us a picture of your cousins back in Czechoslovakia?

No, no, no -- that's Mrs. T-B. in the morning, see man.

Well this southern baby has Michael as a middle name.

Thanks everyone hopefully I can post a pic soon.

This purported baby (fotos or it didn't happen, no ma'am) should have been named "Belvedere Jehosephat," hmmmph man.

Saturday report, see man:

Went to bed ridiculously early on Fri. night (= before midnight = unheard of).

Awoke at 4:30a; unable to regain zzz status; arose with alarm at 6:30.

Prepped self.

Brushed cat for first time in 2+ days; half of cat came out in hairbrush, miu man.

Arrived at jalopy-inspection place at 8:05; 6 inspections waiting ahead, sigh man.

Drove up road; in & out in 20 minutes, whee man.

Returned to casa; retrieved brood; drove to Big Lots.

Learned that 20%-off sale wouldn't begin till 2p, sigh man.

Drove to GSs in nearby 'burb.

First was church sale with not much; bought bag of miscellany for $5.

Second was house sale; bought $4 of train paraphernalia for testy Mini-B.

Returned to casa at around 11:30.

Mowed lawn, sigh man. Front & back, sigh man.

Temperature probably not 80 degrees yet, but humidity so thick that one could cut it, like a knife through hot butter, sweat man.

Between sprouting ryegrass, 4-inch dandelions, and residual morning dew, lawnmower clogged every few inches in back yard, sigh man. Pulling starter-cord twice each time (once to de-clog blades, twice to restart mower), hosed bad wrist worse and hosed bad elbow worse, ouch man.

Finished in just under 2 hours, having soaked through 4 thick sweatbands, schpritz man.

Could barely drag self upstairs to shower.

Swore to self that next victims would be Central Americans-for-hire, pesos man.

Before recovery, dragged self & brood to Big Lots by 2:10p; already mobbed. Among much smaller stuff, bought 24 quarts of 10W40 motor oil for net $1.40/qt (weekly store sale of 2 for $3.50 plus 20% off that), whee man. Spent $Many ($117) on the button, $igh man.

Returned to casa; unloaded purchases. Took blessed 90-minute nap with cat. Awoke; capitulated to Mini-B.'s repeated inquiries about "pizza." Took Mrs. T-B.-mobile first for gassing, then to retrieve 'za. Upon re-entering Mrs. T-B.-mobile after gassing, thoroughly rowled huevo izquierdo (Part IV can understand, every male can comprehend). Retrieved 'zas. Ate 'zas. Played trains & blocks with Mini-B. Tried to minimize volume of cursing while plowing through 3 days of Mrs. T-B.-only handling of The Structure Formerly Known as the Kitchen Sink. Finally loaded dishwarsher. Must now empty dishwarsher.

No sign of fever. Lost 8 lbs. during illness (all from not eating); lost 2 lbs. from mowing (about standard). Will be a victory if weight stays off, and a Victory if loss can continue, si and whee man.

Why I say Malaysia ? Cause Tiff's Sister said it was ok for Gump to take the tools.

You seem to be negotiating with the wrong human.

Still , fun and giggles :

1. file a police report then list Gump as #1 suspect then

2. get a warrant as its over 18,000 in gear on the theft

So I've officially bit the bullet and bought health insurance for all of us for 880 a month. I know it is pricier, but the plan only has a 1000 deductible and they cover infertility treatment, including 2 IVFs, etc. from the start supposedly. I need to email them to make sure, though.

sounds like a good plan, considering how pricy IVF is on its own anyway.

i am freaking out a bit because every apartment we have looked at has at least 20-30 bad reviews online. logically, i know that these reviews are spread out over years and considering the hundreds of apartments in every complex, 4-5 bad reviews every year is not a huge deal. but reading about fuzzy black mold covering an entire wall (!!!), drug busts, shootings, car thefts, psycho management, etc, is making me have nightmares! even the higher-end/pricier places we have looked at get the same type of reviews, so it doesn't look like upping our budget is going to make much of a difference.

Yeah someone else told me that their clinic said their plan authorized them for cover immediately. I had always thought the law stated one year, but I guess that is the maximum amount of time they make you wait as a new customer. There is nothing in their member books that says anything at all about a year wait. unsure.png I'm hoping they can give me confirmation ASAP that they cover it immediately though.

The deals and quiet spaces are not talked about online, happy renters rarely post anything.

So, suggest circuit get there, rent a room somewhere in a house for a month in college student digs/rentals,

do scouting on his own via the university newspapers, laundry-mat bulletin boards, church meetings, looking for the hand written notices of spaces to let, houses to lease, apartments to lease,

as

this online thing for searching for (good, cheap, fast) is specious. Can't be done. No one writes a good review, why bother?

If you want to give circuit some data - get the police reports for the county for 2 years, map all, give him the map, tell him you not want to live in those areas. That'll cut down his search patterns (search = drive car, have a look)

I do suggest you two settle on the first year, for renting a private duplex near a large university. Sure, it'll be in shambles because it's off-campus housing, but the area is safer. At the moment, you cannot afford to live in the super-safe areas (as those cost big monies and folk ain't moving out of there).

Alternatively - study the obituaries. When you see a death notice, learn the contact info of the oldest 'next of kin' and write them (a postal letter) asking if you could live in the recently dead-person's house, exchanging your labor in helping with the house, with free or nearly free rent. This will get you 2 to 3 months of almost free living in that locale. Be prepared to write many letters, mailing off, daily.
