We met online...I was playing world of warcraft at night when I was home working sometimes there was nothing going on and he was without a job and always there whenever I logged so we started talking and then I flew to visit him and continued to fly until I had no money left lol.

I cannot really judge him and never have that is the thing. I understand fear...granted..I usually jumped right into fear's face rather than hid but i still get him and why he is the way he is. Whether I can handle it to the extreme that he has shown me since I have been here..I still don't know but sure will do my best.

Wow so you were one of those sexy gamer chicks! Got yourself a gamer guy, and found out why the other girls avoid them? laughing.gif

Well hopefully you can help him grow up and become more than he is now. But when you talk about how his siblings are still so dependent on their parents, even married with kids, I think you have an uphill battle. Not that it cannot be done though.

I think it was me and everyone else up here in CT. Nasty bug this year.

I got hit with it on Thanksgiving, so it just took a couple months to reach the east coast.

pretty much...ya. I keep thinking "how did I not see this" but honestly not going to take on all the blame..his mother and (hubs) lied about a lot of things whenever I visited. Things came out only after I was already here and married (and if i am honest with myself ...2 or 3 months before I came here there was a feeling some things don't add up). BUT he is also a bit different from his brothers..he recognizes the fact that it is absolutely not right to be this dependent on family and knows that he needs to leave and grow up - he is scared to death and that is where I come in - if i am around he feels secure and like i will take care of him. It is ok to a point and it does leave me alone and feeling abandoned when I need him to stand up to things and be a man but I guess that is what I signed up for at the end of the day.

He said if i got the job at NYU he would get his GED and get a degree from there for sure (all of a sudden..probably cause its NYU and if he passed up on that he would be crazy). Part of me feels like he knew that if he married me he would get to do things he would never have the guts to do by himself and saw an opportunity in me. I am glad and at the same time annoyed if it makes any sense lol Like...you cannot get stuff done on your own so you married me so i get you places (and if i dont you will be annoyed about it). I am not perfect I got negative sides and that is one of them. :D

man, that guy's argument had so many holes it could've sunk an entire cruiseliner of fooks.

He kind of did. What people don't get though, is about a quarter of all K-1s given are in the Philippines. You get a lot of American men who fall for the hype of Filipinas, and think they make these perfect wives. In general, they have some good points and they have some bad sides to. Then they totally forget these women are individuals besides. The guys go play Mr Bigshot RichGuy there, for a week or two, then bring them here on a K-1 or even CR-1, and neither really knows the other. When the guy turns out to be totally broke and a jerk, the girl splits and sure enough the guy starts screaming she committed marriage fraud just about every time. American and Filipino culture is very close on a surface look, but its very different at its core. The true scamming going on with the embassy there, which is why they have such a big fraud department, has more to do with forged documents, because its near impossible to get a screwed up document fixed there. Fixers are everywhere offering to solve paperwork problems, often originally caused by incompetent government employees, followed by nightmare procedures to correct the issue. Can you believe you need to go to court to fix that someone checked the wrong box on what sex you are? It can take a 6 months to a year to fix even a spelling error on your name. Plus the whole not allowing a divorce issue, requiring an annulment which can take years and cost many thousands of dollars where the typical salary is about 2000 US dollars per year. Scamming a USC to marry and get them to the USA does happen, but I bet less than 25 percent of the claimed cases here are actual marriage scams. Much more commonly I see Filipinas treated like garbage and they still stand by their husband and marriage.

and I had a flu shot....

Its 14 degrees outside. Can it friggin warm up already?

OMG we're almost getting that warm today! dancin5hr.gif
