Yep, they are gone because people were ranting maybe a little too personally - like it could hurt their jobs and families if it got out.

Since you missed it, I'm not sure how my Facebook was found, could have been a FB link, could have been my name from my Timeline or blog and a town search (I have a really unique first name), etc. Someone from VJ linked the specific posts in the rant thread about my SIL who was being a total terror to me after my miscarriage and said some mean things about my daughter (a line crosser) to my SIL (probably because she commented on a public photo I had on FB).

It sat in her other folder for a while before she saw it, she spread it all over Facebook and had a ###### fit about what I wrote. Using the stuff on here, she made a further attempt to destroy my relationship with my husband, my mother, my in-laws, etc.

I was livid at the time, but now I just write stuff I wouldn't mind being read for the most part. For the record, I think SIL is evil for not sharing who sent her that link and trying to destroy my relationships. Personal opinion and all.

OH - apologies - but - are you using a 'fuel oil' house heating system? I remember reading stories about the monthly truck refills and always thought that seems too much of a slog . My grannie used coal in her house, had a tonne delivered each time and that was in Kentucky, a more moderate clime.

as to comparing the two - crikey ! two different eco-systems, to be certain !
