the apartment we liked turns out to have a mold problem, at least that's what the 25 odd reviews on the place say. plus two reports of a driveby shooting, thefts from parked vehicles, etc. we are looking for someplace else. i am just a bit sad because i got attached (yes, i know, silly of me) after some google map exploring of the area.

i think i drank too much coffee today. i am feeling very jittery and my hands are shaking. i keep making typos and having to go back and correct them slowly because my fingers are twitchy.

Curious if the mods are going to delete and thread ban someone who's first comment was on the derailed topic we were told to not bring up again or face thread banning?

I ALWAYS MISS THE GOOD STUFF

Well the mods acted on it eventually. But a certain posters' derailing comments were left intact and I'm assuming not thread banned. Its actually what I expected to happen. Favoritism does run high with the mods.

seems like the us dollar is rising against the sing dollar. i went to the money changer yesterday and got $42 less for my (very tiny) stash of cash than if i had gone the week before. boo. sad.png

$42 dollars on a (very tiny) stash of cash means a pretty big change in rates. Or at least in what I'd call a very tiny stash.

So the ex-best friend had her kid. Named the child Symphany Claire.

It's a cute little thing, but I feel sooo bad for her name.

Did you slap the mother for naming her that?

Is her last name Anette?

Maybe tiny in a Singaporean mindset. laughing.gif I remember I had brought about 10k to Denmark thinking that would last me at least a year, totally broke in 4 months. unsure.png

I typo all over the place and I don't care. I can't be bothered to re-read what I've written.

Sorry to hear about the apartment. One of the cute houses we were interested in, not linked here, that had a great location and good ceiling height might have gone back off the market again. They've been on and off the market for 2 years, which I don't get at all.

well, a 1% fluctuation is unheard of.....in a months time, in 2 stable currencies, the fluctuation is 0.05-0.10%

then your 42 bucks did not fall solely to the strong dollar. Likely the exchange fees have increased. And why are you exchanging money? You money laundering international felon....

a 42 dollar difference, even at a 1% fluctuation= 4200 bucks principal.....

Very tiny stash is a couple hundred bucks. Sum tin tells me this was no very tiny stash. Thinking the Kitty has been holding out on us, and she's richer than Stevlar

When you guys buy/ rent a house. Bring a compass, try to get a house that faces the south or Southeast. We're in the northern hemisphere, where a south-facing house gets maximum sun exposure. Makes for a warmer, less moldy house.

Love my south facing house. And really helps to keep it nice and toasty warm for my tropical bride, who I dragged to a frozen wasteland of a state.

Explains Momma being upset she married a poor American infidel. Iffen Momma ever finds out that is.

Is there ever sun in Seattle? I thought it always rained, like England or Denmark. Blah, depressing.

I've only been to Seattle in the winter time. Never seen the sun on any of those trips, so I surmise it never gets sunshine unless you're talking what's above those raining clouds. Also I felt much colder in Seattle's much warmer winter temps because everything was so friggen damp. The kind damp cold went right thru my Minnesota winter clothing and jacket.

Googling and I find downtown Seattle averages 71 sunny days per year.
