They don't like people from CT...

They're not local. I find in the northern part of the state, if you're not local, you're not doodoo. Takes near forever to be considered a local to.

Wife got word from her boss, she's not going to be in any layoff. dancin5hr.gif

Wind is whipping like crazy here, and its still single digits outside. Froze my butt off going out for lunch. I should of just stayed in my office, can't even feel my fingers right now.

Don't worry, the internet is frozen up there. It will thaw out in a few days so they can respond.

Uh-oh! You better get out your polar bear fur coast, all you up north have one of those, right?

LOL! I figure it is just because everything up there is slow. It took me along time to wind down my New Yorker now, now, with a dash of yelling on top to be able to live here and now I'm going to have to get even more laid back!

The travel company wanted for rent us a Chevy Spark to drive around rural MN in...which I thought was just about the most ridiculous thing I had heard of. Why even have a rental car like that there?

They don't like people from CT...

I only mentioned to one that I was from CT. Snobby CT folk aren't usually buying cheap houses, though.

That is great news!

I think it is a little that and also just a little that we don't need to see the houses for 2 weeks so there is no urgency. Their commission is also not huge. I should expect a little less because for 2400 I'm not going to get the same service as 9000 or something.

I was actually hoping to get to experience the cold, if that makes sense? It is going to be in the 30s all week here and people are complaining that it is too cold for February coming onto March.

The estate lawyer was talking about doing an early partial distribution, but we will see. Either way, we should be set to put in an offer on a house.

Your wife belongs here and even if she feels like she doesn't, maybe it is in all the good ways?

It seems like Filipinas are really into hanging out with other Filipinas in America. I get the reasoning, but it seems like it would further distance you from American culture, no? The Dane doesn't really want to associate with other Danes here. I could even get him to talk to one of the ambassador type folks. sleep.png

I don't think I've warm up yet, no way do I want to visit anywhere cold.

I found being around another Canadian made living here feel more normal.

There's only one part to Minnesota smile.png

Well I'm back, let's see what the results are gonna be Ina day or 2. Keep your fingers crossed....

Poor Juna....

You can do what everyone else does in Hawaii. Be a bum smile.png

During the days of magnum PI, I thought of moving to Hawaii....

Fingers crossed on the xrays.

Magnum PI was a good show

Gotta take a shot of DayQuil....

Is DayQuil a decongestant? You are all stuffed up, coughing it out is good you need to get that crud out of your lungs.

People in Minnesota have no idea about how others view CT people. I think thats a regional thing.

I got my parka out, think I need to break out the polar bear one for tomorrow though. Going to 20 below zero!

Better get a 4 wheel drive vehicle. All that open ground out there, the wind makes for some pretty bad snow drifts out that way. They're constantly closing the roads.

I like the cold and am pretty comfortable with it.

Weird question, but how do you know they are Canadian unless they are from Quebec or have a Maple leaf tattoo? I have terrible trouble telling Canadians apart from people who live in border states.

I got a Toyota Corolla or the equivalent, I think. You don't think that would be fine for Mid-March? We can always upgrade depending on the weather forecast, I guess.

I would figure that about farther away places and Connecticut, save for a few towns, is actually not as wealthy as people make it out to be and the middle and working classes really struggle paycheck to paycheck here.

Canadians are easy to spot, just watch them faint when you flash your handgun.

I wouldn't want to be outstate this winter in a Corolla, or any small car. Also March is our snowiest month, but the weather has been anything but normal the past few years. Budget for a bigger car, preferably SUV, you may just need it.

Well we met on Connect to Canada website, I actually saw her car drive by our house many times and she had a Canada flag front plate. Everyone kept telling me it was a football team logo. I know what I saw and I was right :P Now if I heard her talking out in a store one day I would pick up the Canadian words.

I've been sleeping a lot if I need to look into something report it :P

OK hope this doesn't break any rules, here's a question that just popped up in facebook, which gave me my good laugh of the day rofl.gif

Hi, I have a question. I sent my I-129 petition out last week, the uscis cashed the check for $340 today, would it be safe to assume that it means they approved my petition? Thanks in advance
