Goodness tbone. You make your poor eife sound useless at home. Maybe that's why she did so much.

The eife can do phenomenally well at cleaning, and in record time, when she does any. I usually believe her when she says that Mini-B. demands her complete attention, wee man.

I had yet another pleasant conversation with her pets, the kitchen ants -- this time with Aurelio, Osvaldo, and Horacio ("Lacho"). They're very pleased with the amount and variety of vittles and would never consider moving out, si and no man.

Edit: Here is an excerpt from a very heavily-commented-upon thread of mine from Many.Many years ago, re a trip to Ecu, see man:

After the mall closed, Mrs. T-B. looked up with her puppy-dog eyes & said wistfully "I want crabs." Resisting the urge to refer her to any Ecuatoriano, I gave in to her appeal (as always) & agreed to help her get crabs. We hailed a taxi, whose driver took us to a semi-indoor place called Ochipinti, where the natives were greasy from head to toe with crabs in various stages of devourment. As gracefully as anyone could, Mrs. T-B. voraciously downed 3 adult crabs, while I dined on rice, fried plantain, & Inca Kola. Inca Kola (available in the International aisles of larger U.S. supermarkets) looks like pale Mello Yello but has a faint taste of banana, & is pretty good, burp man. The entire bill (3 crabs, 4 bowls of rice, 2 bowls of plantain, 1 bag of plantain chips, & several Inca Kolas) came to a whopping $12. I paid with a $10 bill & a $2 bill. The waiter grinned at the $2 bill & gave the payment to the manager, who also grinned at it. The manager looked at me & lifted the bill with a hopeful look. I had one left, which I sold to him for 2 crab-greased dollar coins from his pocket, & he was thrilled.

If he even thinks about dying, we'll kill him!

Not a doc, but sounds as though some massive antibiotics might kill the Little Beesties. I would jockey for a horse-needle of penicillin (or third-generation bug-killer) in the butt-cheek, pow man.

Colonoscopy... I insisted on no sedation and got to see my small intestine and appendix (on the monitor). I also apparently have several extra feet of large intestine because of my height, si man.

Fading precipitously, zzz man. Rest of household asleep, man. Have been snacking nonstop while sitting at computer, to stay awake in order to contribute here so crucially and to wait till dishwarsher stops..
