So Friday night my wife and I go out for dinner and movie. Of course we has just had a major snow storm, which started with freezing rain, creating ice all over the roads with snow on top. All the freeways were unsafe at anything near freeway speeds, so speeds were 25 to 40 miles per hour. After the movie, we've got a 15 mile drive and I hit a section where the car was shaking like crazy because the ice was loaded with pot holes, probably the road to this year. My wife had fallen asleep when the road was just 2 inch thick glare ice, and she suddenly wakes up shouting, "we're in the ditch, we're in the ditch, honey I'm scared". I inform her its just the road is full of bumpy ice and she falls back into her coma type sleep. Upon getting home after a white knuckle drive home, I wake her and get her up into bed. She's only about half awake the entire time. Come morning when she's actually really awake, she asked me how I got out of the ditch. Apparently the dream she was having was so realistic, she was still certain I had drove off the road into the ditchrofl.gif BTW there was more cars in the ditches while I drove around on Friday than I can even recall.

good morning, no smoothie. Feeling fat.

Update on jobs: nobody can say I give up easy - a position was re-posted, I cannot re-apply BUT I still went thru office of HR and got the Director's email to send him updated resume and cover letter. He might not even consider it but at least I know I did what I could.

Walk time.

I say you walk over there, storm into the HR Directors office and demand an interview. How dare they not hire you!

Email was never designed for 10M files. I've seen too large of files choke outlook and it will never acknowledge the message was sent, although its being sent every time. Causes problems for people on the other side when they need to download numerous copies of an oversized email, often never realizing its received the dang thing, cause each of many copies to be downloaded again and again.

Good luck on getting any phone company not to charge you for that.

it's just really annoying to think that the email failed to send after 1 try and i didn't press refresh or resend or anything and it continued to accrue data usage while i was sleeping! i regularly send 10mb emails to myself, mostly powerpoint presentations. we embed videos so that makes the file size even larger. so far i haven't had problems but this one time i did for some reason. :\

i think i'll call during work tomorrow when i don't have to wait 2 hours to speak to a "customer service specialist". geez i am grumpy today.

wait jonas is awake. ok i feel better already. :D

Maybe Jonas is grumpy now because 50 copies of a 10 meg email is choking his mail client? laughing.gif

What type of email client are you using? Its usually the time out value built into the client that causes the issue. When a send begins, the timeout function starts, if the email cannot be delivered, or downloaded for that matter, the email client ignores its still sending or receiving, and creates an error telling it to try again, even when it ends up sending or receiving the message. This results in a retry even when it already sent it, or received it. The problem comes in with email not being that smart, and the network connection being too slow.

Don't you mean American rather than English, Comrade?

Americans speak English, the English speak too many different dialects to have their languages called English.

Good luck Jada! I'm also feeling fat, but less fat now. Down 9 pounds! I lose weight slowly, for sure.

Yeah, my British family speaks tyke. It is like an old Norse and English mix.

Is it really supposed to snow again this week? :( I'm hearing rumors and am not happy about them.

Had a nice weekend. :D Went out with friends yesterday, which was enjoyable considering we never have time for that. Yay, social life!

I'm really excited about this interview on Friday. I hope I get it!

I think it's Boatman's diet, them fast-growing nails.

Now MAYBE if he only ate food that his wife cooked, his nails wouldn't grow so fast.

He would be dead? She never cooks? Guess you dont need to worry about fingernails if yer dead...

Good luck on the interview. Tell them if they don't hire you, Midget Boatman is sending the Chinese Mafia after them.

Well if he turns into a zombie, longer nails will help to dig into your victims.

Are your British family like the little people of Ireland?

I was listening to a program in Public Radio about the dialects in the UK. They were playing people saying things from different areas, and some of them I couldn't make out a single word. Now if that was English, you really could have fooled me.
