Some people know how to answer the questions right though rofl.gif

But yes, definitely call them and get help with what went wrong.

The questions are crazy basic and you'd have to be pretty dim to answer any of them wrong. I'm unconvinced this is my fault. :( I'm just gonna blame the IRS and feel better about myself.

The federal government had no problems with me claiming my daughter like every other year...but the state government wants all sorts of custody verification, school records proving she actually lives with me, etc. Ridiculous. My ex-husband doesn't even know her SSN or probably even her DOB.

BTW, my child support still hasn't come. 4, almost 5 months and counting. I talked to a very nice lady in San Francisco about it, but alas, still not here. I don't know what happened to ex husband and I's playful banter relationship in the past year, but he keeps lying to me now and barely saying anything. Kind of worthless trying to get him to man up. *sigh*

Can't you get in touch with services that force him to pay? sad.png

I have, many times and it is always supposed to be set up with his employer soon.... however, I've yet to see any of it.

sad.png If I recall correctly, his child support is very small on top of him not paying it.

Yeah, it has been months and I doubt he is even 1000 in arrears. Freaking pathetic.

I bet you did good. I'll explain later.

But basically, whenever you think you did bad in an interview, you did good.

And when you think you did great, you did very bad.

I just have a gut feeling that I was too nervous and showed it way too much. I psyched myself up about it too much. grrrrrrr.

Subtle things she said made me think that maybe there will be no in person interview. But then again I did not sleep too well and my judgement might be a little impaired. I hope it is. Just emailed her to thank her for the opportunity to present myself and make sure she knows I am still quite interested.

What will be will be.

OK, back to this.....in my experience.....

Don't forget, NYU has ace interviewers.

A good interviewers job is to find a fit for you in their organization. If they're really good, they can place you for another job while interviewing you for something else. They may pick up things that you said, and see an application for it in other areas. NYU is a huge employer.

They will assess your behavior as well as knowledge and experience. They may frown on too much preparation, like answers that just flows outta your tongue (too smooth). They seek sincerity, not preparedness for the interview.

A university's wants are slightly different than a private sector company.

But aside from your qualifications, they seek integrity, diligence, enthusiasm, adaptability, energy.

In my experience, when you walk away from an interview thinking "Ah #######, that was hard". Then you did OK.

Gotta tend to daughter.....
