will do, uncle d. i have cooked her recipes from the time i lived in the dorms at uni but it will be a while till i acquire all the tools she has at her disposal like..

pressure cooker

steamer

granite mortar and pestle

fancy pants blender

etc

until then i will content myself with pictures and memories...or, if you all want to give us wedding presents, that would be cool too. tongue.png

No la - you gonna root, hawg, or die Just like the rest of the newlyweds on a budget,

and learn to shop for gear at charity resale shops, garage sales, and estate sales.

Is better, really, you not want the cheaply made ####### from China, and that's mostly what's available in all of the stores. sourcing used is better, you can find nice gear made in the USA or Europe that was built to last.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

T-B. [getting headache from the jabbering]: Soy un puerco [i am a pig]. Oink oink oink.

By about the 5th/Manyth phone call, Mrs. T-B. said, "They're all asking me if you're going to die. I'm telling them 'no, I'm not that lucky.'"

Bird flu, the fooks must have brought in bird flu. Which is also combined with swine flu. When you see pigs fly, you know you've got it bad.

Among the first things I noticed on VJ, was that there are a lot of pie-faces here. No friggin sense of humor....The kinda people I love to ignore, and out-snob.....

Does this mean we're invited to the wedding?

My wife's mother wouldn't let her get married until she learned to cook. laughing.gif

I gotta be in Cali in the late summer anyway...So I'm game for making a side trip up the left coast....

rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif You owe me a new keyboard for those two lines.

Tark Can get a keyboard for 39 cents....

You can get a wok here for about 12 bucks. A fook wok. (which if broken in right, is really good)

Bird flu, the fooks must have brought in bird flu. Which is also combined with swine flu. When you see pigs fly, you know you've got it bad.

Dam those fooks....This is why we need to enforce immigration laws.

Not at Ikea!

Can an ikea wok be used to stir fry horse meat? :)

Yo I'm tellin you guys, stuff is dirt cheap in NYC. Everything is cheaper here due to the volume and competition. The only things that drive up the cost of living here is....

Real estate- very expensive to buy, very expensive to rent. The bulk of your income goes to it.

Eating- eating out is expensive, except the fook/ chinese places. Even the fast food places sport a pricier menu.

Insurance- whew....good luck trying to insure anything here. I get the super discounted rate, 2 cars full maximum coverage- 3800 a year + 500 umbrella. Boat, another 1100. the house I live in 3300.
