Lonnggg time no see for this website LOL.

I didn't even know it was updated till today.

My hubby and my son (his stepson) made it successfully back to Marrakech for Eid.

It took them forever from delayed flight from Air Maroc, to lost luggage...

But this will be my son who is 9, first zabiha.. I told him not to get

too emotional to the cow that he has named and hugged already...it'll be on the

dinner plate soon LOL.

But for all again, I am like the ghost member who pops up everynow and

then when I get the chance.

Happy Eid all and I hope any travels weren't delayed like theirs was ...

( the 14 hour trip turned into a 23 hour one <_< )

But Rachid is so happy to be home with his family after 1 and 1/2 yrs...and our son

is ecstatic from getting so much attention.

thanx, glad to be back :)

they are doing both the cow and the lamb. I believe it is symbolic of how Prophet Ibrahim,

was told to sacrifice his son by Allah (swt) but later told Ibrahim to

substitute the lamb. The cow is serving dinner purposes only :D

My fiance said sometimes people will slaughter a buffalo or a goat, but usually it's a sheep. Maybe that's just in Egypt, I don't know.

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

Goat, sheep, camel and cow are all acceptable for Eid.

a cow is much more expensive than a sheep or goat. I've known large families or multiple families pay together to slaughter one cow.

Do you know the Meaning of EID?

I think it means "ENJOY in DUNIYA!!"

So, In your life all moments bring EID for you....

Eid is Thanksgiving

Eid is Fun,

Eid is Happiness,

Eid is Generousity

Eid is God Endless Blessings,

Eid is Fresh and undying love... Wishing You and Yours ...EID MOUBAREK.

Please let us forget the once again the devout pilgrims who arrive by the House of the Beloved Allah. The Hajj season has returned and, for the seekers of grace and spirituality, the road is open towards the summits of love and communion; refreshing waterfalls of the Unity of God and the solidarity of the Ummah are theirs. Make duúa for those responding call of "Labbayk,". Pray for blessings for those on the Hajj journey, made in response to the Divine invitation to visit the holy precincts of the Beloved, and be enriched to its utmost degree with thought and contemplation over the meaning and purpose of Hajj. And pray inchallah your "time" to come also firmly implanted in your heart.

Please do not forget about all those less fortunate than ourselves at this moment, make du'ua for those amoungst us who are suffering, hungry, helpless, worries and waiting for Allah's mercy.

Respectfully yours in Prayer and Faith...
