I'm confused so seeking advice. On the instruction sheet for form I-131 Affadavit of Support it says that evidence of support should consist of duplicate copies of some info they ask for from your bank and employer. I have all that in addition to Income Tax Returns/Transcripts from IRS. So does the employment letter or any of it have to be original? Thanks

Unless otherwise specified, all of your documentation and evidence can be copies but you must be prepared to submit originals if and when asked for.

I-134 Affidavit of Support. You only need supporting evidence according to what is listed in the embassy instructions letter, don't go by the instructions for the I-134, this form is used for other types of visas and is a "make do" for the K-1 visa.

What is required by the embassy is a copy of your most recent tax return (or transcript) and W-2, currently you can still use your 2012 tax return.

If your income is adequate to meet the poverty guidelines of the I-864P you do not need to include bank statements or such to show other assets. You do not need a letter from your employer, that is strictly optional as well.

The I-134 has to be original, everything else required can be copies. It seems logical if you are going to send an employer letter to send the original with the I-134.

We have the 2012 tax transcript from the IRS but no W-2. Would this be acceptable to the US embassy? Thanks for any information!
