Dear Visa Journey members,

I am very concerned as to what to do. I have moved into the US with my husband about 14 months ago. WE are going to file for removing of conditions this August. My concern is that we moved into an apartment about a month after we came to the US. My husband went online to do change of address for me. I remember he had a lot of difficulty doing it and it wouldn't submit for a long time, then he said he did it. we never printed a confirmation page or got an e-mail or a letter abut i. he the sponser filed by mail and got a receipt. he says he doesn't remember whether there was a confirmation on the screen or not. I was very busy with a crying baby that day and never saw what he did. I am very concerned now. I don't know whether it has been submitted or not. should i do it again or will this complicate matters? please advise. thanks!

I wouldn't worry, I changed my address after I got my 2 year green card and never got a confirmation in the mail but my husband (the USC) did get a confirmation.

No you have to let them know every time you move and so does your husband. You MUST do that within 10 days.

We filed online. My USC wife got a letter, but I did not. I did get a confirmation on screen, but the letter telling me to file I-751 was still sent to my old address...

Permanent residents or other categories (generally non- US citizen) are required to notify UCIS within 10 days if they move. This is stated on the top of this page:

you also need to update your address with the pending petition (there is an option in change of address). Sometimes, to be sure, you can also call them and have a representative update all of pending petitions for you.
