I read it three times Wheatley ;-) and it was excellent. We were approved in 70 minutes! (I'm the beneficiary to FrozenGlitter's petitioner)

Thanks to you and Nich-Nick for the work on that guide and beyond. Can I direct you to my post on this board about the updated mobile phone rules at the embassy that went into effect today, by all accounts? In case it is useful for the guide, it might be best if someone else confirms what I was told first, of course!

I read your post and found it useful information. If we can get a couple more people to report the same thing we update. However signs saying turn off phones sounds pretty convincing to me. Thank you for commenting on the change. Congratulations on the approval.

I guess Gould's will be losing a bit of revenue now. I wonder if car keys, iPods, headphones, thumb drives, etc are still banned. Would like to get the whole story for the guide. Anybody with a pending case want to ask via the contact form?? They don't answer me for weeks because I don't have a case.

Edit: I see the list of things prohibited now doesn't mention those items that have had people sent away before. http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/164203/cons-visa/prohibited_items_2014.pdf
