Send a copy of the certified marriage certificate, no need to send the original.

It also can't hurt to include a copy of the marriage certificate with the i-131 and i-765 too just in case.

I never got an RFE for sending a copy of the certified copy of the marriage certificate so you should be safe with just a copy. :)

Looks good otherwise, good luck!

We got 3 copies of the marriage certificate and it's only $5 for another one, so we thought we might as well go ahead and send them a normal one, haha. We can get more easily and cheaply whenever we want to.

This-->Form G-325A Biographic information (Immigrant) with 2 attached passport photos--

Is part of the I-485 supporting documentation. Move it down as a subcategory under I-485

Husband does not need to prove his citizenship with the I-864. Only the joint sponsor.

I would move the joint sponsor's tax transcript up in the list to be in the stack right behind the I-864 and proof of citizenship. That is required, so you want them find it immediately without digging through the additional income proofs you are submitting.

Your marriage certificate is only part of the I-485. Don't send as part of the other two. Really not needed and only clutters up the application.

Proof of sponsor's US citizenship (your husband) is not required because his US citizenship is already proven with your NOA2 form from the I-129f.

Thanks! Will make a note of this post and fiddle it around a bit to what you said before we send it off.

You can get copies a lot cheaper than I can. smile.png

I was sorta surprised how easy it was to be honest, considering what I've read from some other members on here about getting their marriage certificate. We just went to the same place we got the license, they asked how many we wanted, and it's 5 bucks a copy.
