My husband wanted to add me to his bank account. But the bank refuses to do so, because I don't have a state id. What to do? We have an interview soon and I need it to be done as soon as possible.

What state do you live in? I was able to do it with only a passport and a SS# at two large national banks with no issues.

Maybe tell you bank to shove it and find another bank? Or, open another account at a different bank.

You have your EAD, so go get a SSN and state ID. Then you'll have no issues at the bank.

I have their debit card under my name and I am using it in pakistan.

I live in Bethel Alaska, and the bank is US Bank.

I guess the best option is to get a state id.

We live in Georgia and the bank of my husband also don't wanted to accept me, because I don't have my SSN yet. But the Bank of America accepped me without it. There we could open a joint account.

That's strange, because I have my SSN, and they still want me to have a state id or military id.

You have your EAD, so go get a SSN and state ID. Then you'll have no issues at the bank.

Yes. You should be able to get the state ID with those. Check with your DMV.
