Hey All,

I got married on December 27th 2013 and my wife submitted our I-130 on January 3rd 2014. She submitted the I-130 to the Phoenix, AZ lockbox as per the USCIS instruction. I cannot find processing times for the Phoenix lockbox, does anyone have any ideas or experience of filing through this office?

Do you mean the CR-1, or did your wife already file the I-129 for the K3? And if so, why, the K3 is pretty much obsolete?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

No quite the opposite. The I-130 alone leads to the CR-1, which is superior as you get a greencard upon entry to the USA and can work and travel right away. Don't bother filing the I-129/ filing for the K3, it usually gets administratively closed at NVC stage and if you are one of the very few that get it, means more expense and paperwork once in the USA.

Do not send in the I-129F and you will be on the CR1 path (which you likely would have ended up on anyhow.) Takes the same amount of time and is the superior visa.

Btw the phoenix lockbox doesn't process any petitions. It's merely a place to accept your petition and cash your check before sending the petition to a service center to be adjudicated.
