AOS - February 2014 filers

So I called and got an interesting kinda rude lady... but she let me in on a little som som.... I was put on the waiting list for interviews on April 1st, then when I changed my address after I moved, I was taken out of the scheduling order so that they could update my address and then put back in for scheduling when I got the text on the 29th of April........

I wasnt put back at my spot, but sent to the back of the line. All because of an address change.

I spoke with my attorney today and she's putting an inquiry in. She said we should receive a letter indicating what the hold up is.

I'm assuming you didn't get one yet?

I have good news though, I start working tomorrow for my dream job!

One of the biggest companies in the US?????? oh well... JACKPOT for you lol.. Congrats again....

No, she just said hey, when there is a date open, you will receive mail notifying you.... and with that I aint calling them again. Next person I will call will be my congressman at the end of July if nothing happens

Had my interview today 1PM at San. Bernardino office, got there at 12:30 and was called 12:50. The lady who interviewed me is also Filipino it's like a K1 interview. The requirements, is just like the same from the AOS like the W2, Employment Cert, latest Pay Stubs, IRS,and printed some updated photos. She did not get anything from me. Just my EAD/AP card. And at the end she said " i'm approving this and you will receive your new card in two weeks" I checked my status only and it changed now to card production.

Got my GC yesterday, had my interview last Jul 01, then gc mailed on 8 and received on 9.

Macruff, anything yet? My lawyer tried to put in an inquiry but got a response from USCIS that she couldn't because we are still within normal processing times. Ugh.

Nothing... Tratsing.. I have given up on worrying. Found a few gray hairs at places and decided it wasn't worth worrying about.. All will happen in due time..

The gorgeous wife and I went to get professional pictures taken and I am just enjoying her and working..

Had my interview this morning at Yakima, Wa office. The appointment is at 8:15 and the officer called me in at 8:25. My hubby and I both so shocked coz the interview lasted about 5 minutes. Except for checking both Id, confirming my name and birthday, some of the must asked question (Yes - no Question in i485) he only asked how long you two know each other. That's it!!!! I even ask him "Are u sure you don't wanna look at more evidence and pictures)?" He smiled and didn't took a glance at what I have and said that" your case is very good and I will go ahead and approve. ...blah...blah". 20 mins after I left the building my case status changed to card production. I'm so happy! Good luck to everyone here! God bless you all!

Hey everyone,

We had our interview yesterday at 8:45am. We drove for 4 hours during the middle of the night from North Alabama to Atlanta, and we were both pretty tired by the time we got to the office. We got there an hour early but checked in around 8:00am and waited for about 20 minutes to be called in. There were maybe 5 other couples there, 2 before us, but we got called in before them. Not sure why.

Our IO was a very quiet, meek-looking man probably in his late 30s. Had a shy demeanor, but was nice. Just seemed like someone who would sit awkwardly in a group of people, and probably just goes to work and goes home everyday. He said good morning and lead us back to the office, we took our oath, then sat down.

He confirmed all the applications we sent in and then casually asked about our addresses, birth dates etc. Then he asked more questions pertaining to how we met, when did we decide to get married, what we did up in Canada when my wife came to visit and if we had spent time with each other's family or friends.

He asked me if I had any more documents to show him other than the ones I sent in with our application. I showed him my accordion file, 3-ring binder full of copies and my photo album. He looked through everything and just confirmed small pieces of information throughout. He asked if we had our phones with us or had any more photos of us together. I explained to him the conditions of my disorder and that it's more of a trigger for me to be in photographs and he complied. I had provided like 30 photos but they were all selfies of us together and some of them I would be hiding my face; or pictures of my wife with my friends. He then asked about our jobs and took some of our IDs, photos, and documents to add to our file.

He then explained that we would get a 2 year green card in the mail and explained ROC. He said we had a lot of stuff and a good case, but that he had to "finish up some computer stuff on his end" and get someone else to finalize everything. He said to expect a decision in 2-3 weeks but that everything looked in order.

We thanked him and left, all in all it probably lasted for 20 minutes.

I'm a little disappointed because I was really hoping for on the spot approval. Or just the word "approved" for peace of mind. I haven't heard anything yet, even though I've read of people not getting a direct answer but then a few hours later getting the text/email updates. I am hoping he wasn't thrown off by the pictures thing. It was hard to read him, he would smile and things when my wife and I were conversing and making jokes but never really laughed or made comments.

I am kind of bummed out but I feel like why would he explain all of that stuff to us if he wasn't going to approve us or recommend us for approval? I am also wondering if there are different tiers of IO that do interviews, since he said someone else had to finalize it. As opposed to some IO who can approve on spot and couples that get their text/email notifications a few minutes later? I don't know, I'm just so tired of waiting.

July is almost over and still no date. And no call from me either.

my friend who applied in October finally got a date in August.. 10 months later (Oklahoma).. he has been on testing and interviews since December ending

Work is good pulling my hair out filling out tax forms though. Oh, I have a question - on the W-4 form, IRS website says to put single as marital status regardless of what it actually is if you're a nonresident alien. I'm obviously married, but followed the instructions. Did you do the same?

I spoke with my attorney yesterday and she's going to try to inquire on august 6th if we haven't received anything.
