I came here on a K1, we filed my AOS on Feb 15th and I recieved my EAD last week...the AOS has been in "request for evidence response review" since March 31. It looks like everyone else who filed around the same time as us from the Boston office got their interview dates a long time ago. Does anyone know if it's normal for the status to be "request for evidence response review" for this long?? I am a little worried...

Good luck to everyone in here :)

I just noticed that the EAD is in card production but the status of the AP has not changed. Will my husband receive a combo EAD/AP?

Give it another day. My AP status changed a day after my EAD did. I received the combo card last week.

I came here as a visitor, then my husband and I decided to get married. So not on a fiance visa.

Oh, I didn't realise that. I'm not sure on your situation then. I believe you just have to prove you didn't come into the US on the VWP solely to marry your husband.

If you have a husband on military deployment/assignment, all you need is a copy of his orders & you are allowed to do the interview alone. It's actually one of the only reasons a spouse is allowed to do an AOS alone. Definitely look into it as I don't know all the details on it :)

I checked this out and I think it is only if it is an international assignment. The representative at USCIS didnt really have a clue.. (like they ever do).. and I just kept reading and that's kinda what I found.

Also, I wouldnt even want to go there alone. The scrutiny would be terrible. I dont normally fold or ever fold under pressure but I would rather be there with my wife.

What I am planning on doing is when we know the interview date, I'll fly her back to Dallas (from Vegas, 45 mins flight) go for the interview, and then fly back to her assignment. Hopefully I can get the Commander to let her off for 4 hours at most. Good thing she'll be in Uniform :)

I also brought my entire immigration file with every piece of paper that I have ever submitted or received but of course, she doesn't ask to see any of that stuff lol

Sorry, but I'm collecting documents now and I wonder what do you mean by "immigration file"? Every notice of action, i94, visa?
