hey Fellow February filers , how are you all doing? I paid my IV fee and filled out DS 260 last week. I am expecting case complete in October, God willing.

Fingers crossed.

How long after the AOS fee did the IV fee become available?

Thanks

Wow! That was fast! Let's hope it is a sign of things to come. Congrats on the news, and let's keep each other posted. The NVC thread is so long and has so many people on it so if you would like to PM me, that's great. I don't mind posting here tho too, it will keep the thread going for sure! :)

I will keep you posted, I can't keep up with the NVC thread, leave it a few days and you're completely lost.

I know what you mean. I read up a little bit in there, but it is really hard to follow a single convo, or track the answer to a question sometimes. I follow the NVC for Canadians forum in the Canada portal, but I also plan on lurking here with my buds :). Much easier than weeding through several pages a day on the NVC forum.

Hmmm...that posted strangely

Hey Don123 -

i'm in the same boat waiting. Was yours' a simple RFE? I've noticed simple ones for example wedding certificate, passport photos, etc get processed between 10 and 20 days.

my RFE was about 8 items long and was received 9/8. I hope we both get our approvals soon, God willing.

Nope, we're still kicking around too. Our time has not come....we've decided we got elected to be the wing men for this month so we're sitting back and letting all others soar by. Really hoping the premise....good things come to those who wait.....holds true!!!! ;).

Gotta love this process!!!

London to Nyc, 61 days!!! But reading others ppl timelines, I realised they screwed me over! Other people were waiting for 20-30 days! So keep calling and being annoying, don't be shy to insist on speaking with a supervisor! NVC is a b**** remember!

Hi My fellow Feb filers, I think I have come onto something today about the NEW NVC process, this can be found here

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved/contact.html

I have listed the steps below also.

Step 1 – Choose an agent

Step 2 – Pay fees (Immigrant visa application processing fee and Affidavit of support fee)

If you pay online allow 5 days for the NVC to process your fee payments before continuing to the next step

Step 3 – Complete DS-260

After completing the DS-260 you must print the confirmation page and bring it to your interview.

Step 4 – Collect financial documents

· Complete Affidavit of support form i.e I-864

· Obtain financial evidence i.e IRS Tax Transcripts

Step 5 – Collect supporting documents ( These are the IV documents, marriage cert/ police cert etc)

Step 6 – Submit documents to the NVC as ‘ONE package’

· After you collect your affidavit of support form (s) and financial evidence in Step 4, and supporting documents in Step 5, You must submit all of the documents in ONE package to the NVC. Your case may be significantly delayed if you fail to submit all of your documents in one package.

· PLEASE ALLOW 60 DAYS for the NVC to review your forms and documents.

As you can see the difference is you now submit the packages as ONE and not separately, as people have done previously, another NVC filer thinks this has come into effect as off September.

The link you posted isn't working...and do you think this means it'll be a faster service now?

Hello fellow Feb. Filers, as well as Dualie, FYI, I called NVC today around 1:45pm and knowing that only 1 week ago they had just received my package, I still called just to see if my hunch was right about being assigned an account number. The lady that answered took my info and checked for me, and guess what?! I sure enough got an account number assigned!! I couldn't believe it, only 1 week it's all it took!! I thank God for the speed that this is all going with right now. I wish the same for all of my fellow friends.
