I just checked the USCIS website and it said that our I130 was approved!!:dancing::D I can't believe it!!

And you know something, I really believe that this forum of feb filers is the best. The energy here is so positive and so spiritual! I really believe that helps!

When I was down, someone in the forum mentioned that I should pray. Even though I hadn't prayed in a very long time, I something deep down told me they were right and I decided that I should try.. So for the first time in ages, I prayed last week and now a week later we have our approval!!! Sending all of you strength and don't lose faith.

Maybe turning to prayer can help all of us get through this! Best of luck to everyone!

YAYYY!!! Congrats to you and your love!! :dancing::dancing: :joy: :dancing::dancing: See what positive energy and prayers can do? Let's hang on to that and spread it over all of us here in this forum (L) . Best of luck to you in NVC, and lot of prayers and positive vibes out to all of those still waiting!!

So I just called NVC and wanted to check the status of our approved case. The lady that answered said that it can take up to 5 weeks until they get the case in their hands, and another 30 days until they start working on it! I understand the 30 days before someone touches it since there are so many others, but 5 weeks!! So that's a total of about 9 weeks, meaning more than 2 months before I can start working on this! :(

Count me in for that too! We are in this together!

RobbieG, did they at NVC get your case yet?

Congrats to all the new Approvals - Feb 10 filer here and still waiting.

So I called USCIS yesterday and spoke with Tier 2 and asked for Supervisor.

My experience in the nutshell was that they have no information pertaining a case that is currently being worked by any service center. I pressed (nicely) to know exactly what's being done on my case and he couldn't tell me anything rather than just wait.

Frustrating (but wonder why is there a need for tier1, tier2 and supervisors, if they have no idea or access to the content / status of the files at service centers ?)

Congrats again for those who have made it through.

Someone SHOOOT MEEEEEEE (CRYING)

----------------------------------------------------

So litteraly after posting my previous message telling you all about my experience yesterday with tier2 supervisor, i receive the email below

********Your case is currently under review by an officer. You should receive a decision, correspondence or notice of other action within 45 days of the date of this letter. Actual processing time varies according to each case as well as officer caseload.**********

What's discouraging is on 8/12 i received a similar email saying it would take between 20 - 30 days for a response.

Now after waiting 10 days so far this email of waiting 45 days is just heart breaking......

Anyone has been through this type of inconsistent updates ?

God please hellllllpppp me. :(

I kinda expected that. I'm not even going to start calling until 4 weeks...it will give me a chance to go over all my docs (for the millionth time :) ) and pre-fill some of the forms before we start sending them the money. Working on the immunizations and still waiting on a German Police Check. If they email me in the meantime saying they have received my case, well bonus time!

Unfortunately the backlog that USCIS suffered way back, has backlogged NVC now. I am not surprised. All we can do is hope and pray that things will pick up in a timely fashion....and cheer our friends in this forum on! :)

Dualie, I'm kinda lost when it comes to the exact list of docs I have to send with the I-864EZ FORM when it's time. The website doesn't list the necessary docs for each form to include with them. If you know what they are, can you share a link?

It tells you right on the form. I got this link off Saylin's Wiki on Electronic Processing for Montreal Beneficiaries, but it would apply to anybody who uses the form. Let me know if the link works for you.
