Strange...

I received the I-797 NOA2 for both I-130 and I-129F...the first spent more than 6 months as tyou all, but the I-129 wa approved too the same day and it's NOA1 was in April, wich make it only, more or less, 4 months for NOA2. Is it normal?

According to what i've read in the forum, when both are approved the I-130 has preference over I-129F, right?

God, this people in USCIS are alawys surprising me ...

Hi,

My pd is Feb 11...I filed an e-request and got this response:

"Thank you for your inquiry. The required background checks for the subject case remain pending. We will render a decision as soon as the background checks are complete. If you do not receive a decision within 120 days of this inquiry, please contact csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov."

Did anyone come across such notification and will it really take the extra 4 months to process?

Called back again, spoke to another tier 2 agent.

This guy told me that the original RFE was from Nebraska, it doesn't matter now though since the RFE isn't mailed out to me. It is in a new agent's hands at the CSC, and I should hear something within the next 48 hours if I am passed, or RFE'd. So the whole process begins again for me, but he said the security checks are done and we passed those, which is nice.

The tier 2 agent broke the process down for me - It's few months of security checks, your SO's name being run through their databases, when that is cleared youre sent to the next step which is the box opening ceremony with the USCIS agent/officer who then browses your file. which takes up to 48 hours/1/2 weeks depending on the USCIS center.

I'm really new to this whole thing :-( Can you explain how you were able to speak to a tier 2 agent? I would love to talk to someone who can give me more solid info!

Ask for one when you call the USCIS center.

It's that simple? They'll just put me through? I want to call right now if it's that easy! Any tips on what to ask the tier 2 officer?
