None of this has made any sense to me for a while now. I am Feb 04 and still I am seeing late Feb and now March approvals around. I am tickled when one of us here is approved, because we ALL miss our loved ones. I am beginning to accept that this WHOLE process is randomness at its finest, and it won't get any better at NVC because the backlog has caught up with them now. So...that being said, we all need to stick together and continue our words of encouragement for our brothers and sisters. Remember that for each one who is approved before us, there are more who have been waiting longer that we have.

I am hoping that something gives soon and things speed up (my glass is half full again :) ). But I am also a realist and we have all seen how broken the process is, so all we can do is what we can do for ourselves by calling and emailing who we have to call and email. Other than that, gotta let it go and it will be what it will be. In the meantime, pass the red please, time to top up my glass...lol!! :)

I got approved the day after (or two?) of submitting and e-service request on the USCIS website. Have you done that?

Lucky you....August 27 isn't that far off. We get to wait till Sept 8! Go figure??? We don't get this either.

We don't quite get why our case seems to be the only one transferred from TSC to Mesquite when others after us have been approved. This is especially frustrating because we're made to believe it was to alleviate the case load at TSC. \

Perhaps answers to our questions will be had today when my husband attends an info-pass appt. I'm really hoping he's persistent in getting answers and that they are more knowledgeable than the clones we spoke with at USCIS when trying to put in service requests.

Anyways, I'm home now :( and really wishing we made the appt while I was visiting him.

Fingers crossed. I'll keep you all posted. You all have been a great source of motivation to keeping positive. :)

Good morning! Question for you...am I able to have my wife apply for a visitors visa while all of this is in process? Meaning, would they grant her a visitor's visa if we apply so she can come be with me for a little bit while all of this nonsense goes by? I see you have one, was it before the process started that you got yours?

People say it is very unlikely since you already have intent to immigrate to the USA. The whole point of the B2 visa is to show proof that you "will" come back to your homeland .

I am in your boat, I would rather fork out the 200-300$ or so to at least try, my life is literally on hold right now just waiting to know something about the I-130 and dealing with the loneliness/depression without being with my SO while we march on past the 6 month ordeal. Yeah the NVC looks like its going to be hell, but the big stump is the I130, once you atleast get the documentation required the NVC ordeal will be done, the I130 is the bridge that has to be crossed regardless.

dehiguey23 in my experience we applied twice and she was denied visitors visa and reason being that she wouldn't go back if she was granted a visa (What a pathetic reason to deny, knowning well that we had already submited I -130 )

Some of these consulate folks can be so insensitive. Why deny a spouse visa knowing well that she will be granted Immigrant visa soon or later.

fortunately, but unfortunately for you, for me I don't need a visitor's visa.....this is the only part that makes this visa thing doable.

i would try googling it and contacting others to see what they have done. do a search by country here on vj to get timelines, etc.

no harm done in applying....you won't know until you try.

:) to another fine day.....waiting

I'm not holding my breath that we will hear anything by that date. If we do, great, if not, the hubby will start the speed dial thing. I see no rhyme or reason to the way they are doing things, but I have resigned myself to the fact that it will take as long as it takes and there is little, if anything, we can do to change that fact. I'm concentrating on staying as busy as possible to help make the time go more quickly.

Good luck with that infopass. Hopefully they have something worthwhile to tell you. You have been a source of inspiration yourself you know...stay strong. We will all laugh at this someday I know, but right now it's not a laughing matter. Cheers! :)

As others have said here, intent to immigrate has been shown so it is unlikely they would grant a visa, unless she has strong ties to her country showing she needs to return. It never hurts to try though. If you do, good luck. I will be rooting for you! :)

Thanks Dualie, I think I'll just keep the same route we're in. If she gets rejected in one of those appointments, I know my wife would be heartbroken :(
