Hi everyone.

We successfully put in an e-service request for our petition outside of normal processing times. The e-mail confirmation says we can expect a reply by Sept 2. We shall see.

This week, I'm focusing on positive ENERGY, my work and traveling to Mexico City Thursday to see my husband for a long weekend.

I'm throwing a lot of that positive ENERGY to my friends here also waiting. GOOD LUCK everyone!

Hello Everyone,

My P/D Feb 6th. I called USCIS this morning they said they are currently working on Feb 25th. I am well passed the PD. What is going on with TSC, it is a little outrageous. I filed for a service request as well and she said it is currently with an officer. Hopefully I will hear some good news soon. :ranting:

Hello Feb Filers / Nebraska

My first time posting and I must say i have been reading everyone's comment and especially the Febuary filers pending responses from NSC ( Nebraska ).

I have a PD of Feb 10 on I -130

and a PD of March 10 on I -129 F

Yes filed for both and it doesn't seem to help from what i have seen from those who have posted here.

I hit my 6 month mark yesterday and it appears some folks have received their NOA 2 right around 6 month and few days.

I must say its depressing to see those who get approved in less than 3 mothns (good for them).

What I have done so far:

I have called USCIS at least once a month since i was at 4 months in (just out of curiosity)

On friday i was able to submit an eRequest and also called USCIS to submit an expedite request (Reason: Single Parent)

USCIS told me to wait 7 business days for a response. The eRequest gave me reponse deadline of 8/29.

So I am really hiting all fronts (if that would help).

Now just refreshing the USCIS page constantly hoping to see a status update.

RobbieG, did NSC happen to mention what is the "official" date they are working on at this time?

Everyone,

Good morning. I was finally able to put in a service request online today (literally just a few minutes ago). I have not hit the 6-month mark yet and the website said to expect a response by Sept. 2nd.

Since I was able to submit the e-service request before the 6-month mark, that makes me think that the official date for NSC must be past my PD of 2/20/14! Not 100% positive, but might be the case since the only way to enter a service request is for their "official" working date to be past your PD date.

I'm hoping this will help in some way although I am prepping myself mentally to receive the same ole email as everyone else that we are stuck with security checks being done. At least it will be some type of update right?!

God's timing is always perfect.....which means there is a reason why I am still waiting :)

Side note: I know someone in Mexico who received her I-130 approval last week. She was at NSC and transferred elsewhere. Her PD is March 2014.

Since joining this site, I've noticed around 10 cases that were sent to the local office, so yes, it seems to be normal. And I'm glad you guys spent some time together, I'm trying to do the same in October God willing!

yip, your right I did more digging last night but found multiple reasons/stories and very few cases were ir/cr's. some posters suggested that even though uscis mentioned 'local office' it still went to another service center....most did not follow up with describing results of their transfer so its really difficult to determine a norm. guess its best we wait for a hard copy....or (fingers crossed) accurate information from a tier 2 officer.

hoping you get some news soon....i see 2 more noa2's this morning :dancing:

Hi, so am I able to have them expedite my case because I have no one to take care of my kids on the days that they're with me and I have to be at work? Is that a good enough reason? If it is, I've wasted so much time since this is always the case for me, having to unfairly leave them with their mom when I'm at work on the days they are with me. My dad comes from NY and helps me out sometimes, but he cannot be here all the time.

Sounds like your situation is similar to mine.

I called uscis in frustration and i insisted to having my case expidited (mainly due to it being over 5 months)

The lady suggested that i should have a reason for expediting. I used the extreme emergency as the reason and told her i am a single parent and its extremely difficult to work and care for kids. I wish to have my file expedited so my wife can be with me.

I don't think you have wasted time (USCIS will not expedite your case unless its outside of processing timeline anyway)

She documented that and told me i should get a response in 7 days. But after the call i also file an eRequest online (that one told me expect response by 29th august).

I had nothing to lose so just waiting to see what happens (Besides I am really feeling hopefull that i will hear something this week based on the many Feb approvals i have seen here... just staying positive)
