Hello LnE,

I have had a similar experience recently as well. My case was initially at NSC and then it was transferred to TSC on July 8(hardcopy notice) and transferred once again to CSC(July 22). I got the confirmation of the final transfer to CSC from an immigration officer(tier-2) after she checked my status, whereas the two tier-1s I have spoken to still thought that I was either at TSC or NSC. In my opinion, I would confirm the location of your case with an immigration officer before responding to your RFE. Hope this helps and best of luck!!!

Could things get more confusing?

07/12/2014 received letter with notice case was sent to TSC
07/24/2014 rfe email
07/28/2014 received rfe letter but it came from CSC

Called USCIS to confirm that my case is at CSC and no longer at TSC. They said according to receipt number my case should be at NSC. I explained that due to high volume of cases mine was transferred and I received notice it went to TSC. Agent said TSC has a high volume of cases so mine must have been transferred again to CSC but could not confirm it. Agent said to respond to RFE to the service center on the notice.

I am happy if my case is truly at CSC but seems like USCIS agent should be able to confirm this. Will send requested documents tomorrow and cross my fingers that everything comes together. What a crazy process, just trying to keep a sense of humor.

We got an RFE - letter dated 24Jul14 and it arrived yesterday 28Jul14 which was our 5months date since NOA1

The RFE was for passport style photographs for me & other half, which we didn't submit initially, however after finding Visa journey and reading lots of content I knew we would need and correctly got an RFE for.

They mention to print the names and A-numbers on the back of each photo does anyone know what they mean by 'A-numbers'?

We was at Nebraska and got transferred to California on 9th July 14 - we're going to submit the pictures ASAP and will keep you guys informed how it goes from there.

Good Luck Everyone.

Good Luck Everyone.

you get your A number when you get your visa. what they meant was DOS number which is your uscis receipt number.....you know the one that has the 3 letters then 9 numbers....the one you typed in to check your uscis case status. i'm not sure if your number was changed since you were transferred to CSC.

consider yourself lucky, even though you got a rfe.....at least you know your case is being worked on and soon as uscis gets what they want, your out of there.

many of us are sitting here in limbo not knowing where our case sits.....for all we know it could still be hidden way way back in the vault.

get those photos sent !!!!!! :)
