in my case, the petitioner lives in nevada....and our file should be at csc. but was sent to texas. i have seen countless people file after us who somehow arrived at CSC and have been approved and already have their case number from the NVC!!! it is exasperating. what gives??? who knows???

best not to fret, one day this nightmare of a wait and process will be over and we'll be cuddling together on the couch watching our favourite shows... :)

I knw 3 petitioners got visa in hand in 8 to 10 months in 2013

2013 stats don't count anymore. totally different ball game!!

with expedites from other countries, daca, service center overloads and now backlog at the nvc....the wait is much, much longer.

we avoided doing the k3 ir1/cr1 combined process and now kick ourselves as we should have....maybe the wait would have been reduced. who knows???

everyday we are one step closer....right???

It does matter , because i have read in uscis website that petioner state and the beneficiary country defines the approvals time . But have not mention precisely which state or country have more close to this option

exactly and that's why it doesn't matter.

uscis keeps this info to statistics (ie averages) because each case is unique and therefore giving specifics doesn't predict your outcome.

if you are from a high fraud country expect a longer wait.

low fraud countries like canada, who also neighbour with america, do not get preferential treatment, ie shorter wait times.

wait time is a projection.

consider it a game....its the best way to look at it. :star:
