It's so annoying! The weather isn't even that bad -_-

thats what happened with mine on feb 3-7 it drove me nuts just waiting for it to arrive at uscis lockbox

Finally was able to check the husband's mail this weekend. Petition received Feb 4, 2014, priority date Feb 4, 2014. Petition received and is in process Nebraska Service Center. Nice to finally see this on paper. smile.png

Any update on your application?

I've called UPS today and the machine said they were closed because of President's Day. :/

This is whats been happening with our i-130s going to chicago lock box cuz of bad weather the postal service is being delayed getting our stuff out plus alot of times they are not scanning our stuff so we are not getting any alerts from the usps website

That makes sense! The weather here in New England is horrible! Even I am sick of the snow! I just want my NOA1 date to be February...sigh....

I too will be mailing my packet off soon...hoping by the end of the month if not at least by the first of March. Just waiting for some docs from my husband to arrive from Kenya. Wishing well to all those that have submitted and soon to submit. I am hoping for a speedy journey!

Yesterday our journey started. My wife sent all the documentation through to our local USCIS office in Johannesburg, South Africa. I think the hardest part was getting the unabridged marriage certificate. Forums and speaking to people said it would take anywhere from 6 - 12 months. I literally harrassed the Dept. of Home Affairs, calling people on their cell phones. Anyway got it in 5 weeks. smile.png

Praying that God has His hand in this and we have a speedy processing time. Would love to be their by end August.

11/23/2012 - Married in South Africa

01/01/2014 - Decided we wanted to live in the US

02/17/2014 - Filed for I-130

I sent out my i-130 on feb 3 and you wont believe this its stuck in the post office due to bad weather so now im waiting for my package to make it to uscis what a headache plus i sent it express mail and thats for the chicago lock box office

USPS finally updated our status as "Delivered". Any chance of getting our NOA1 today?

Sept 14th 2012: Started Relationship (visited each other 20+ times since then)

May 1st – Aug 31st 2013: J1 Stay in US

Dec 23rd 2013– Jan 4th 2014: Trip together to Germany

Jan 30th, 2014: Married in VA!

Feb 11th, 2014: Back in Montreal

USCIS Journey

Feb 13th, 2014: Sent I-130 packet overnight (delayed by DC storm)

Feb 18th, 2014: I-130 received by USCIS (PD)

Feb 20th, 2014: NOA1 (email)

Feb 25th, 2014: NOA1 (paper)

June 11th, 2014: NOA2 (email)

Priority Date is the date your case got properly filed. And it also let you know when to expect Visa Number. Right now they processing visas for applicants who applied before September 8, 2013
