Our timelines are very similar lol I know that is what i don't get it either we have a child together what more proof can they need it should be legitimate and quick I've seen People in my situation get approved in less than 3 months but oh well wait wait wait story of my life.

Oh wow, they shouldn't so long when children are involved. But in my case they might think that I'm getting pay for my husband green-card. So many people have done it that they have to be really cautious. Stay positive!

Shouldn't take*

Hi AlexandCarlos19,

I saw Nebraska processing time here

http://www.visajourney.com/content/times on your right you will see "current processing time" and you will also see the section where it says I-130 IR1/CR1 & K-3 Visa Nebraska is NSC....as of today they are working on January 12 2014. I checked yesterday and it said they were working on January 2, 2014. It seems that they're doing their job there! If any question don't hesitate and ask me!

Remember that these dates are coming from VJ member data and not from USCIS. They are fun dates to consider but represent only a fraction of one percent of USCIS data. They also rely on VJ user data input which can be inaccurate.

I am the USC Petitioner. My wonderful wife Laura is from Scotland.

...and the VJ stats also include folks from the Philippines, who seem to still be getting approval with a couple weeks, as compared to close to a year for the rest of us. This certainly skews the VJ stats.

Thank you for clarifying.

There is hope!! The service centers seem to be working right around (if slightly behind) their published time frames. Just don't get too excited if you suddenly see the VJ date jump ahead a few months, it likely just means that an expedited member got approved. Also don't get too discouraged reading about those that are well outside processing times. I think it's likely that most cases have reasons that they are taking so long.

Those VJ timeline dates jump around a lot. The best strategy is to look to the USCIS published time frame, add 30 days and emotionally prepare for that date.

All that being said, I look at the VJ time frames every day, sometimes twice and check my case status on USCIS every day, even though we're still 3 months from a realistic approval date. Haha, I think it's fun to see the dates move around. :)

Yes.

Petitioners of last December begin to get approved so far, though at a little more slow pace than we've expected.

Next month for January people, and this June would be for February people!! :dancing:

I expect that some who are lucky will be approved in June, most of us approved in August and September, and who has a more complicated case (for USCIS) takes more time..

I hope everyone goes smoothly :clock:

It's been a while since I last updated my status. We originally applied for the I-130 mid-February and 10 days later on the 27th Feb 2014 got a mail back from USCIS giving direction to next steps. We were told to get a whole lot of new documents (police clearance's, IRS tax forms, Medical exam etc) together and submit everything to the US Consulate in South Africa. That took a while but we sent everything to them in April. They scheduled my interview, which I went to last week on Thursday. Got my CR-1 visa this morning. Just under 4 months from start to finish! Booked tickets for July.

A lot of prayer went into this! Seriously, God made the impossible come true! If you know how hard it is to get civil documents in South Africa you'll know just a small bit of what I'm talking about. Praise God!

11/23/2012 - Married in South Africa

01/01/2014 - Decided we wanted to live in the US

02/17/2014 - Filed for I-130

02/27/2014 - Got "Packet 3"

04/15/2014 - Got all my docs together and sent them to US Consulate

05/22/2014 - Went for interview

05/27/2014 - Picked up my passport

07/??/2014 - Land in the States :)

Hi vj,

Is there a February 2014 tracking spreadsheet (google's tracker or excel spreadsheet)? Also, Are there any Feb approvals from VSC?

Thanks!

Regarding the former question, the answer is "No". I think we don't have the spreadsheet for Feb 2014.

I just got my NOA2 guys! :) From VSC! Expedited.

Congrats!! :dancing:
