Well from what I read the K-3 interview and visa will be issued in the country the marriage took place. How the heck does that work for those of us who got married in one country and moved to another? Got married in Thailand and station in japan, is my wife (french citizen) supposed to go back to Thailand to wait for k3 visa?

Already file I-130, been a month and still no NOI2. Thanks

If you only filed the I-130, then anything you read about the K3 will not apply to your case. In order for the K3 process to start, an I-129F has to be filed after the I-130. If you haven't filed an I-129F after filing your I-130, then don't do it. If you did, then it may not be an issue anyway because more often than not, the K3 ends up getting administratively closed.

July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Since there are no quotas for immediate relatives (IR1) of citizens there are no priority dates (PD). The date on the NOA1 is the date they 'officially' received your application.

Hi everyone,

I submitted the I-130 in February 2014 and the I-129F in March 2014. The I-129F was routed to the Nebraska Center where my I-130 is also pending. Today I received two updates from USCIS (via email) saying the following:

On April 4, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please check our website atwww.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

On April 4, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

Does this mean that my husband know has an Alien number assigned? Does this mean anything else?

I don't think so. I'm also from the Philippines but I'm still waiting for NOA2 just like you.. Maybe i'm the only from the Feb filer from Philippines who is still waiting, all of them are already approved <sigh>

The way I see it, there are march filers who were already approved. I guess it really differs. More waiting for us then.
