Is it true they spent that much on the Olympics?

Also, my husband made me mad the other day. I said "The Olympics start this weekend." And he said "The Winter Olympics" as if they were not the "real" Olympics. Silly Israeli who is not aware of snow sports, I'll show him!

According to this article they spent 51 Billion

I would have guessed 2-4 Billion is the max and country would spend on an Olympics..

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

They put up an Olympic venue in what used to be a backward little village with little infrastructure. That can't be cheap. But it being Russia, I'd guess that some folks close to Putin got very rich in the process.

As a Brit (we are useless at winter sports too) I fully agree that they are not the proper olympics lol.

I saw the trailer to the new legos movie where the lego guy has an invention of a double decker sofa "so people can all watch TV together and be buddies!!!"

I think the same idea went into these Olympic Toilets...

I like the Winter Olympics better, just because of the hockey.. but honestly, I'll watch ANY sport on the Olympics. I eat that sh*t up every time.

My husband's always happy when they're over (though he's into the hockey too, he just cheers for the wrong team) because then we start watching regular television again.
