Still no NOID or nothing after interviews ?

Our case has jus been draggin for forever, and I jus needed some advice on what step to take next.

USCIS officer came to our apartment when we're not home last year. They also Visited my wife's auntie (who confirmed our marriage), and then AGAIN interviewed our friend on the affidavit in person a few days before Christmas. My signature below shows the timeline of events. When they interviewed my friend, the officer said things like : "...this guy and this girl don't match". He also questioned our marriage because of our difference in education, (my wife did not finish high shcool). Our friend who was interviewed said the officer said to him that "....he knows our type..". When my friend responded that me and my wife were in love, the officer would say to him "you're just saying that to help them". My wife & i don't understand whats happening. We contacted a lawyer, who has advised us that to save money it would be smartest to wait for a NOID, while we gather as much evidence as possible to fight from there! It's been hell. I'm betting that our major red flag was that we were living with a friend & did not have proof (names on lease) plus my nation of origin preceeds me. Nigeria.

Our attorney said he's seen similar scrutiny lately with out-of-status F1's who file shortly after marriage in the city we live in.

Here's my question - are there ANY inquiries we can make to improve any unfavorable decision ? Like with the aid of an attorney is there ANYTHING we can do BEFORE the unfavorable decision is made ? We jus don't know whats happening and we've been advised that an infopass will not help anything. Anyone ever dealt with this much scrutiny and STILL NO DECISION before ? Your advice is much appreciated.

Some red flags in your application might have triggered these random visits. It's a very rare occurrence. If your marriage is genuine, i don't think you have any reasons to worry. Everything will be fine. Be optimistic and hope for the better. Good luck!
