Going to file my wife's and her son's petition to lift conditional residency in February. I am debating on sending a separate check for the application fee($205)and a separate checks for the new biometric fee for each of them since seeing some people getting rejected for sending the $275as the form instructs. Hopefully the new year will shed light on this issue!!!!!

When was the change implemented this change??

Not long ago, probably a good idea to send them 2 checks, $205 and $70 so that they won't reject. The change hapened not long ago with the update of the form on the USCIS website.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

As I mentioned in another post I sent in a check for 275 and they rejected my app. I then sent it back with $205 and I checked my bank a few minutes ago and found the check cleared yesterday, Dec 29. I would just send them $205. Whatever you decide let us know what happens. Good luck.

I agree with what Yodrak wrote in another thread....I'm not *quite* understanding why we have to pay another biometrics fee?? That's just ridiculous after all the bios and checks that have already been done at this stage!!! *really angry but rant off*. I *am* going to read the guides about this process again soon, but if anyone is really bored out there and feels like enlightening me in the meantime...so is Craig going to have to travel to Milwaukee (our closest ones) or Duluth to get a stupid fingerprint or whatever done again?? (it's 4 1/2 hrs or so each way for us...argh!) M.

Yes, and AIUI, it's for a photograph and signature capture only.
