Happily, someone has contacted me and offered their services with putting the info packet together and making it look good, so if we can make sure that we've made a good argument with proof, making shiny graphs and all that jazz should not be difficult. I agree with you, Salo, and perhaps that is one of the points we should make when discussing possible fixes to the problems. I think it's important not just to outline the problem, but to also clearly state realistic solutions. If the USCIS is not fulfilling their reporting obligations to the USCIS, then it is very important that we point out that they are currently not doing this despite being required to, and that needs to be remedied immediately.

Also: Re: burn out. I can totally see that. But I just take a little time off and then regroup. Going through dry government reports will certainly get tiring after a while. As a side note, I was an admin on a page that had 30k members and it took 9+ years and a pregnancy before I couldn't deal with it. I continued to be an admin after that, just less active, for 3 more years until the page folded. Then my husband and I grabbed a bunch of people from the old site that we could find and restarted the board elsewhere. It takes me a long time to throw up my hands in defeat.

I think that they deleted it without reading because they'd gotten so many copies of that same letter at the same time but it was still galling to see that kind of a reply.

There are several other people who are working towards this, and I am so grateful for them. I may be very vocal, but they're putting in as much time, if not more than me working towards attempting a fix. It's truly a group effort, and everyone involved has been just awesome. I do very much hope that it works, but even if it doesn't, I know that everyone involved has tried the very best that they could to make the attempt.
