Hello,

I want to sponsor my mother and father. My stepfather lived with us ever since I was 10 years old but they did not legalize their marriage until I was 20. How do I sponsor him?, I am hoping there are some ways! please help!..

Thank you!

Thank you so much for the replies. Any idea about how long it would take for my mother to petition for my step-father?..roughly like 6 months? or quicker..?

Another question if I may: I also have a half-sister who is Canadian citizen. Would she have to wait for my mother to sponsor her as well? she is only 10 yrs old. Canadians can enter U.S without visa, can my mother just bring her when she comes to the U.S.?

Thank you again and again!

hi

no, around a year, year and a half

if you were to file for her it would take 12 years, is your stepfather with her? because if they are both together in Canada, she can file for both of them at the same time

she can come to visit but not live here. they cannot adjust status in the US
