Your only option is private school where annual tuition will run you $10,000 to $40,000.

Your niece cannot attend public school.

we are looking to enroll her in a public school, any information?

You cannot enroll her in public school. The US does not provide free education to foreign nationals with the exceptions for LPRs, foreign nationals authorized to be in the US under certain visas, and illegal immigrants.

How many of us do you think would bring our nieces and nephews to the US for free public school if it was possible? Why would we send money to our home countries for them to go to school if we could simply bring them here for a free education?

The only way for your niece to attend public school is to make her an illegal immigrant.

There is a 1 year limit for public school and the student must show that they have paid the value of the government subsidies the school would have received for a normal student ( that would be in the area of 10 K ) you must also find a school that she could attend , good schools are filled with US students in their boundaries and would have no space. You would most likely be looking at a poorer school and you would have to drive her there and pick her up.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

To be more precise; an F-1 student is limited to one year of public HIGH school (secondary school).

An F-1 visa cannot be issued to a student who wants to attend a public school for K-8 grades (primary school).

Correct, public school isn't going to happen.

Also, looks like the requirements only allow one year of attendance at a high school (secondary school).

Could also look at parochial schools - private schools affiliated with religious organizations - I know the tuition at a local Catholic high school is about $5,000 per academic year as long as one of the parents is a parishioner.

As OP is Italian I wonder if he is using Public in the English sense, rather than State which seems to have been assumed.

I would start with the International Admissions officer st the school of your choice.

As an aside whilst State schools can be cheaper than Public education, it is not a given. And the standards are often worse.
