Hey all I was hoping you could clarify something for me... i thought AP was administrative processing which could take like 6 months or more.. but here I am seeing that visas once approved go to ready then AP then ready for pickup... is that right? This is a different AP than the 6 month to a year AP that people talk about then?

It may seem like an obvious question but if they told me AP in the interview i might have passed out (ours is scheduled for march 3rd.)

also.. where are you seeing these statuses? online or by calling?

If they tell you congratulations you visa is approved or something along that line, naturally you begin checking the ceac.state.gov site to track your visa status. When you see AP as your status it just means that they are working on your visa. However if they tell you that your case will be under AP on the day of the interview it's a different case. We the ones here mentioning AP were all approved during our interview.
