Please someone help; i have read so much and even my spouse called the consulate in NVC, but we are no closer to finding the confident answer.

Everywhere I read, it says NVC says they require original docs. However, when I read the consulate specific requirements for Jerusalem, it says the docs brought to the interview must be the originals and a checklist letter would be sent, that requires a signature, (that confirms we have the required originals), and that signature page to be sent back. Then, the appointment would be made.

So, do we need originals to send to NVC and originals to bring to the interview?

During the call to the consulate, they said they require originals be brought to the interview, but that consulate worker has no idea what NVC requires and to email a nonimmigrant inquiry email address at the Jerusalem consulate.

Does anyone have any information?

Thank you for any insight you can provide on this

Yes, you need to send to the NVC original documents.

So if you don't send original document when you will do the interview they can ask to you the original.

I send all original documents to NVC, I would not need to bring other original documents, but to be safe take them.

Thank you very much.

I am still confused bc even if i send the origs to nvc, the consulate says they need origs.

?????

Why?

I am panicking bc there is one doc i have only one orig. and i have no idea how to get another.

I dont know what to do. It is a divorce orig for beneficiary. I have the orig, but it is needed to get another copy. So i would have to send it to palestine, (which i dont know which service will do this either, every carrier i contact says they dont service palestine and inly israel, they say, they are not the same and they guarantee to israel), have my spouse get another copy and then send back one of the origs to me.

But i dont know how i will send it to my spouse and what if it does not get delivered. ???

I have researched, called the usps, checked the international countries of different carriers, and emailed usps, but i am no closer in know how to send the docs to west bank, palestine

Thank you :)

My spouse stated the requirement is to bring the orig, when u request another orig; otherwise,

The office will not give you another. That is not the rule here. So i dont know why such a rule would exist and i am trying to figure out a way around this.

Maybe if i tell nvc that the orig will be provided at the interview. ?? Not sure if this will fly or not.

I was hoping someone with experience with the same 'country' and consulate would have known if they were able to submit copies to nvc or if they had to have prepared origs to both, nvc and the interview.

I am lost on this matter for now.

I sincerely thank you for your help. :D

I agree with you. do not send important documents from Palestine. my husband sent all these nvc papers to me in May 2013 and I have never received them, I'm pretty sure Israel took them. I would suggest going to Jordan to send them.

It was my luck that I went back to Palestine a few months after he sent them and he got all the papers again that we needed and I took them back to the US.

one of us is divorced and we have a certified copy from the courthouse and that will be fine because it has all the stamps on it.

Well, let me tell you. Last year we wanted to make sure about my husband's address in the West Bank. So I got just a 99cent card went to the Post office they couldn't sent it to Palestine but for like $1.50 they sent it to Israel. When I addressed the envelope I put the West Bank, Palestine, Israel. it took 1 month and Israelis opened the letter and taped it back up, I mean it didn't matter to us since it was a "test" but now we know!!!! don't send important things through regular mail. not sure about fedex or others but just so you know!! sounds like a prison right? disgusting how Palestinians are treated..

Thank you so very much for your insight. It is very helpful.

The only part I know is, last night, we read on the nvc site, that a document, that i believe would be considered a certified copy could be obtained. We will know for sure next week.

Once, last year, my spouse sent me some docs via dhl. I did receive them, in about ten days, but the fee was like $80.

I have inquired at the mosque to find out if anyone is from the WB and if they can let me know which service they use to send docs back home. I hope there is a reply.

To send them from Jordan, would be expensive as well, as the round trip to travel there is like $150.

I do like your idea of sending something as a test. I think I will try that. Most likely, it will take a very long time to reach the destination. I do have to say an official doc was sent from The Netherlands, to my spouse, (and the same doc to me, here in the States), and the doc to Pal was recived four days before i got my copy. However, the doc was in a plain, white, windowed envelope. It had a simple, preprinted return address on it and the name of the establishment was not printed on the outside of it.

What got me so initially worried, was when I was researching the net, for a way to send the docs, I found a blog that said there was a study done by some university students. They sent plain letters and packages of Baby Ruth chocolate bars, but the study was done with Gaza, not the WB. The results: some of the letters made it to the destination, but none of the chocolate made it. The reason given was that every package of chocolate was confiscated for 'security reasons', i know there is probably a different criteria for Gaza, compared with the WB, but it made me frantic.

I thank you both for your help on the issue. It looks like we will just have to cross our fingers and hope i can send the docs via dhl, ups or fedex and they do reach the destination. I think if I send them via dhl, they will have to go to an office in like Ramallah or another major city, and be picked up, they will not be home delivered. We will gladly take that option, as long as they get received in a timely manner. I have to send my I-864, with my original signature on it.

I sent my husband some papers to the west bank through USPS Express Priority..they guarantee it in 3-5 business days but it took 21 days for him to get it. The fee was $80 for this, but I was able to track it when it hit Isreael, cleared Israeli customs..then to ramallah, then nablus...and finally when he picked it up....Our whole life was in this packet and we was so so so afraid that it would be lost because all originals was in this. Thank God he did receive it, but Fedex wanted $180...and we really didnt have it.
